-Las Angelas Police Department-
\\Day one\\
~Lucy Chen~
"First day on the job!" Nolan and Jackson yell.
"Wohoo" I say laughing. We walk into roll call and sit down in the front row. I look around to see everyone laughing and talking like they've been friends forever. I mean they probably have but it would be nice if someone welcomed us or something.
"Alright settle down" Sergeant Grey says when he walks in.
"We have some new rookies joining us today. Front row stand up!" We do as he says and glance around the room at our new coworkers.
"Introduce yourselves"
"John Nolan badge number 4539"
"Jackson West badge number 7804"
"Lucy Chen badge number 9982"
"Alright rookies. Welcome" he says and we all sit down.
"Okay! So since we have 3 rookies and 3 T.O's of course all three will have a rookie it is your job to train them. Every screw up needs to be documented. No matter what! Now. You three, stand up and introduce yourselves."
"Officer Tim Bradford"
"Officer Angela Lopez"
"Officer Talia Bishop"
They all introduce themselves and sit back down after.
"Good, ok Chen you will be with Bradford. Nolan with Bishop and West with Lopez"
"Dismissed!"
We all get up and head to the equipment room. We grab the war bags, guns and body cams. Then we head to the shops. Bradford gets in the drivers seat and I get in the passenger we buckle and he starts driving.
"Why did you become a cop?" Bradford asks
"To make the world a better place"
"Everyone has that answer boot. You seem more complicated than that so I know damn well that's not the only reason."
"Yeah well maybe I'm just simple."
"Don't start"
"Fine. My parents were both therapists." I start
"I'll finish the story for you. Your parents were both therapists and want you to do something more productive and safe with your life so you rebelled and went to the academy to prove them wrong and you realized now that you're just disappointing them." she says rolling his eyes
"How did you?"
"Boot I'm a cop. I could tell just by looking at you."
"Yeah, you read my file?" I say and he nods. I roll my eyes and look out the window
~John Nolan~
"Okay so you were caught in a bank robbery and decided to become a cop after that happened? Knowing you'd be the oldest rookie in history?" Bishop asks
"Yes pretty much. I saved those peoples lives!"
"Yes, but your 46"
"So?"
Bishop rolls her eyes and I continue driving.
