A Second Chance

Prologue

"Nasan ka na, Sam? Kanina ka pa namin hinihintay dito. Hinahanap ka na rin nila Tita." Julie said on the line.
"Paalis na 'ko, Juls." Sagot ni Sam at kinuha ang susi ng sasakyan.

Makalipas ang isang taon, she and Ian planned their wedding. Her family is so happy for her. Finally, she found the love that meant for her. Inspite of those pain that she got from her first love, inspiste of losing everything - she had the courage of picking up all of her broken pieces and made it whole again.

Then Ian came into her life. Proves himself that he deserves her love. He loves her even on her dark past. Even on her imperfections. He saved her from the shadow of her past and showers her of his genuine love. He gave her light so that she could see whatever she needed to see outside of her shell.

"Sam." Napalingon si Sam sa pamilyar na boses na tumawag sa kanya.
"Je, what are you doing here?" Tanong niya at mas hinarap ang kausap na papalapit pa sa kanya at pilit na ngumi-ngiti.
"Are you okay?" Muling tanong ni Sam nang makita ang hitsura nito sa malapitan. Napa-singhap si Je at napalunok.
"No. I'm not okay, Sam." Sagot ni Je upang mapalunok si Sam.
"I tried, Sam. Sinubukan kong kalimutan ka pero bigo ako. Alam kong huli na ang lahat at masaya kana sa kanya." Muling napalunok si Sam at hindi mawari kung saan nanggagaling ngayon si Je.
"Pero, araw-araw kinakain ako ng mga nangyari. I am full of regrets at lahat 'yon hindi ko alam kung paano alisin eh. I'm so sorry, Sam if I failed you. Alam kong hindi na dapat ako nagpakita sayo dahil ikakasal kana sa kanya pero sobrang bigat eh. Sobrang bigat, Sam." Sam was statued in front of him as she saw his tears. She never left his eyes, she saw how hurt he is. How he suffers.

What if what happened in the past never happened? Maiiwasan kaya nila ang mga naging desisyon para mawasak ang tiwala sa isa't-isa?
