Chapter 11

3 Years Later.

"Sam, sasama ka ba sa meeting with Mr. Salcedo?" Julie asked. She was checking the plans that submitted to her by their team. Sam gazed Julie.
"Mr. Salcedo?" She asked back, making sure if she heard it right from her friend.
"Yeah, Mr. Salcedo. 'Yung client nat–"
"Why, Sam. Does it ring a bell to you?" Madie interfere that made Julie stop talking. Sam arched her brow, letting her know that she is not affected hearing that name.
"Meron ba dapat, Madiesson?" Sam asked in return. Madie just shrugged. Sam then faced Julie.
"I can't, Juls. May mga errands pa ako after these." She uttered.
"Okay, we'll handle that case. Kami na bahala ni Denisse." Julie replied, she then turned her gaze to Madie.
"Tara na Madiesson. Alis na tayo." Madie stood up and grabbed her bag.
"Ingat! Madie ayusin mo ha?! Alalahanin mong may ini-sponsor-an ka pa!" Sam then told Madie before they could close the door behind them as they leave the office.

Sa loob ng tatlong taon, walang narinig si Sam na kahit na ano tungkol kay Ian. Ni hindi manlang ito nagpakita pa sa kanya pagkatapos ng mga nangyari. Tinanggap nalang nyang doon sila nagtapos ni Ian kahit na may parte sa kanyang umasa na muli silang magkikita. Hindi ganon kadaling kalimutan lahat ng meron silang dalawa. Lalo na'to isa si Ian sa dahilan kung bakit sya bumalik sa totoong Sam. Ngunit hindi rin naman inaasahang magagawa pang saktan ni Ian si Sam sa kabila ng pagmamahal at tiwalang ibinigay nito sa kanya. But that's life! We should know that – some people come and go without letting us know the real reason.

"Mama!" Kate and Chloe squealed as soon as Sam hopped out of her car. Kate and Chloe ran towards her, Sam smiled at them.
"Hello, sweethearts!" She greeted them. They hugged and kissed her.
"Mama, galing po dito si Papa. Pero umalis rin sya agad kasi may trabaho pa daw sya." Kate says on her sad tone as she pouted her lips.
"Babalik naman daw si Papa, Kate. Diba sabi nya ipapasyal nya tayo?" Chloe replied as she consoles Kate.
"Eh busy naman palagi si Papa." Kate reasoned out. Sam smiles as she ruffles Kate's hair.
"How about, tayo nalang muna ang lumabas? Kailangan kasi ng Papa nyo na magtrabaho, Kate. Kasi kapag hindi, hindi na kayo makakapasok sa school. Gusto mo ba 'yon?" Sam uttered. Kate shooked her head at the same time, twinkles her eyes when she heard Sam's words.
"Lalabas tayo, Mama?" Kate asked, Sam nods.
"Yes! Now, I want you to go upstairs and change your clothes." Sam replied. Agad na tumakbo si Kate na tuwang-tuwa.
"Thank you, Ma." Chloe said as she smiled at Sam. Sam sigh softly and reached for Chloe's hand.
"No problem, anak. Sige na, tulungan mo 'yung kapatid mong magbihis. Baka mamaya, guluhin na naman nya 'yung mga damit nya don." Sam told Chloe. Chloe smiles sweetly then hugged Sam.

"Saan pupunta ang mga apo ko?" Lisa asked when she enters their house.
"Mamala!" Chloe and Kate exclaimed and kissed Lisa.
"Ilalabas ko lang sila, Ma." Sam replied, she then gave her mother a peck on its cheek.
"Bored?" Lisa asked as she stares Kate who's holding her hand. Sam nod and giggles.
"Nagtatampo rin yata sa ama ang isa." Sam replied. Lisa chuckled.
"Uy, sama ako!" Clara butted in.
"Tapos mangbu-bully ka, 'wag na." Sam replied.
"Hala?! Hindi 'no!" Clara defend as she went to Chloe's side. She then arched her arm around Chloe's shoulder.
"May promise ako kay Chlong-chlong, tas ngayon lang ako may oras kaya wala ka nang magagawa pa." Clara replied.
"Ate Clang!", Chloe whined. Then then laugh because of Chloe's reaction. Ayaw na ayaw nya kasing tinatawag syang Chlong-chlong ni Clara. Sounds like, temang daw.

Chloe is 17-year old, turning 18 and Kate is already 8. Hindi pa kapani-paniwala kay Chloe ang lahat 'nong una. She found a family that she dreamed of in Sam's family.
For Sam, it was a hard decision. Kung pwede nya lang iuwi lahat ng mga batang nasa orphanage ay ginawa na nya, but she have to decide who is who. At si Kate lang sana ang aampunin nya, but Clara convinced her na isama si Chloe.
Hindi madali para kay Samarha dahil wala pa naman syang asawa, yet she applied as a foster-parent and with the help of their Papa, Sam was approved to have them. And of course, Denisse, Julie and Madie is still sponsoring the kids. Napa-mahal na rin naman sila sa mga bata, and to secure the kids safety, they offered to renovate the system's building and premises.
