Chapter Five

(Two weeks later)

"8 more months is a long time" said Martin

"Yeah, it is" I said with a smile

"Maybe it will not be as scary as our parents say?" Martin said looking down with his eyes shut

"Mom, said there will be a bit of pain?" I said with confusion

"I heard my mom screamed to get me out" said Martin very serious

"Wow" I said placing my hand on my stomach

"Oh, well you will feel something!" He said with a small giggle

"Oh, stop it" I said hitting him as if he had said a bad word

"Okay, hunny" Martin said as he gets up to get water outside from the well

I walk over to the oven and started cooking.

"Shit!" I yelled as the water splash on me

I grabbed the cotton and rope and put it together to make a bandaid, I walked back to the oven.

(Two more weeks later)

It's been a month now I'm 2 months pregnant.

"This sucks" Martin said as I beat him at horse shoe

"What sucks, that you lost?" I asked with a smile

"No..." Martin said

"I said we would get married for a month or two now." I said looking over at him as we played horse shoe

"Hmm, maybe we should get married this weekend?" He said with a smile

"Maybe?" I said

"Maybe we should do it Wednesday?" He asked as he came closer

"I like that" I said

"Yes, I know" he said as he grabbed my hand and hip

"What are you doing?" I asked as he put my hand on his shoulder and grabbed the other hand

"Remember the song we heard at your mothers?" He asked starting to dance around in circles

"Where and why does this look familiar?" I asked as the dance reminded me of my mother dancing with my uncle Johnny

Uncle Johnny is my mothers younger
brother but they have different mothers.

My mother's mom's name was Francis Jane Maurice Cumberbatch. (She died from a gunshot to the head because she didn't obey the law, Francis died when she was 16 and mother was 2 days old.) Francis and Jonathan was just boy and girlfriend at the time.

My uncles mothers name was Elizabeth James Angelus. (She died from bleeding out, she was bleeding out because Jonathan's dad didn't like her and he stabbed her, Elizabeth was 26 when she died and my uncle was 5 years old mother was 8.) Elizabeth and Jonathan was husband and wife for 7 years

My Grandpa which is both there dad is Jonathan Cole Maurice Angelus he is now remarried to Mary Marie Angelus there are now 95 and 96(they been together since 1801 when I was a newborn.) Mary had 2 other children James Coleman and Alexander Coleman they both died. (James died from a house fire when he was 11.) And (Alexander was dead since childbirth.)
