this is you meeting eddie for the first time.
this is from another of my books 'dream freak' however there will be only three parts of it in this book, since i have only made three so far. if you enjoy, pls lmk!
i do not know if i will continue with this story, so enjoy :)

the waves edge toward the tips of my toes, getting close and then drawing back, as if they were scared of touching me.

it wouldn't be the first time someone was scared of me.

asudden, i hear a raspy scream coming from the cliff edge.

oh shit.

i got up hastily, and started running over to the rocks, praying the person hadn't jumped yet.
i scrambled to the top and as i got there i nearly fell right back down.

a rangy figure stood on a giant boulder, looming over Hawkins beach. his lengthy, dark curls curtaining his face.

"WOOOOOOOOOO" he screamed again.
he didn't know i was here...

he started hysterically laughing, laughing at the world as he saw it, mocking it and everyone who stood below him.

his hair fell back, revealing his perfect face shape, his perfect facial features, his perfectly parted lips.

but what struck me most of all was his eyes.
they were bright, like the sun. but a dark sun. like they were once full of light but were now burnt, dead.

i could stare at those suns for hours and not get hurt.

i should probably let him now i'm here.

"umm, hey?" i blurted. ugh why was my voice so squeaky, so embarrassing.

his head jolted to me. a puzzled expression on that perfect face.

those suns examined me. looking over my figure. studying my features.

maybe he thought i was perfect too?

or maybe he thought the same as everyone else.
a freak.

"why are you here" he questioned. i guess he was confused why i was staring at his moment.

"sorry, i just heard you screaming, i thought maybe you were in danger or-..."

"threw myself off?"

"well..." i laughed, how could i be so stupid. what was i even trying to do? or what was i going to do? force him away from the edge?

"don't worry. i'm not gonna jump. not today anyway" the corners of his mouth lifted up, creating the most beautiful smirk i'd ever seen.

"okay well. i'm sorry i interrupted you" my heart sunk. a part of me wanted him to want to jump, not so he'd die. just so i could comfort him and tell him it's okay. that he's safe with me. that i wouldn't let anything hurt him and that he could trust me. but now i'm just going to walk away and probably never see this beautiful boy ever again.

"it's cool" he shrugged, "i haven't had company up here in like- forever"

"okay" my heart was thumping, "would you like me to stay?"

"please do, princess. if you want to."

oh my

i think my insides just bursted

no man has ever had this effect on me before.

"soooo" he wandered towards me, arms swinging in all directions "what's your name then?"

"y/n" i said looking at my scuffed converse. my name annoyed me, it didn't fit into 1984 Hawkins.

"that's pretty. unusual. i don't think i've heard of anyone called y/n. i like it"

okay nvm i liked my name now.

"soooo y/n...what you doing on Hawkins beach at..." he lifted his right arm up to chrck his wrist watch "11.46pm. i don't think i've ever seen you around town before?"

"no, i mean, you probably haven't. i just moved here today. i needed to explore around and so i found this beach. it was pretty small and had soft sand so i claimed it my thinking spot"
"ah ok. you see the thing is i know a guy who already claimed this place his, a looooonnnggg time ago. he's kinda strange though, and incredibly scary. you do NOT want to mess with him, unless you become friends with him. then he becomes less scary, still pretty strange tho."

oh

"well i don't see him" i shrugged

"you don't?" he raised his eyebrows

"no?"

"hmmm" he started dancing around, waving his vintage ring covered fingers in front of my face.

oh

"see him now?" he started laughing, his face lighting up

"yeah" i smiled. he was pretty. and funny.

pretty funny.

"im hungry. do you wanna get something to eat? there's an all night diner just under a mile away, you might have seen it on your search for a thinking place, it's pretty recognisable. come on let's go" he smiled at me, those beautiful dark suns gleaming.

"wait, i don't think you told me your name yet"
he laughed
