12. STAY SAFE

Levi's POV

"Violet! Violet!" I shouted, so if she was conscious she could hear me.

There she was. Lying motionless on the ground. Worry and joy filled my heart. I was worried she was dead but I was happy I found her. I tried to shake her awake which didn't work. I looked around to see a crystal with some one inside...It was the female titan. Violet had beat her...I looked down at Violet proud. I stilled as I saw her blood and saliva soaked jacket. I took my jacket off and put pressure on her wound to stop the bleeding, but it didn't stop. It kept seeping through the cloth, turning it completely red. I felt more anxious.

"Violet!!!" I called out to her while shaking her but she didn't respond or react in anyway that'd tell me she was awake, or alive for that matter. My heart skipped a beat at the thought she might be dead. I felt nauseas. My hands trembled at the mere thought. I feared checking her breathing in case it really had stopped. I strained myself and brought my fingers under her nose to check her breathing. I felt nothing...

"No. Please tell me I felt wrong... V, hey! Violet! Please open your eyes! Please!Please!" I begged. I didn't believe it, so this time I got a hold of her wrist and checked for her heart beat.

"Thank god..." The beat was feint but they were there...she was alive. I almost felt like a huge weight had lifted off my heart. I immediately placed my left arm under her back and the right hooked behind her knees. As I got up, I saw the Ackerman girl from the court. The one who was overprotective of Yeager.

"Have you seen Eren?" She asked with a worried tone.

"He's with Erwin. He's safe don't worry." I reassured. I was annoyed she dared ask me about Yeager first when I clearly had a severely injured person in my arms. She looked relieved hearing that brat was safe.

"Is she okay?" She finally asked.

"She'll be fine." I hissed. She nodded. I wanted to say it's none of her business.

"Take care of the crystal. I'll get people to help you with it." I ordered. She went to the crystal and turned to me with an extremely shocked expression.

"Tch, what?" I asked. She opened her mouth to say something, only to close it again.

"Why do you have her here?" She was shaking all over. I calmed my irritation and answered in a hurry, hoping I could get V the medical attention she needs.

"She's the female titan I believe. I'm not the one who fought her. She is." I said nodding towards the resting girl in my arms.

"This is Annie...she was in my class." The brat explained. V was right. She was right all along. She always is.

"You mean the traitor's from your class?...your friend?" I asked. She shook her head.

"Only a classmate." She said dryly.

'Right, I doubt she cares about anyone other than Yeager.'

"Levi..." I heard the awfully familiar and sweet voice call from my arms. She sounded so tired.

"Yes..." I waited for her to continue.

"What is it?" I asked her softly. She squirmed in pain as I rushed forward. I momentarily looked down at the woman I'd missed so much throughout the years. Her arms were flailing at her side as her head rested against my chest. She looked peaceful but the small hissing sound told me otherwise. She was in pain and she was cold. She was shivering. I stopped midair and got my cape off my shoulders and on top of her. She cozied up against me more. Her small movements always brought a smile on my face. Even when just minutes earlier I felt like throwing up, she still comforted me. How could I hate her? Yet she believed, she still went ahead and believed I hated her. She even told Yeager that I didn't like her. When did I ever say that?
