ONE DAY AGO HANGE'S POV
Two green flares had been sent up from our right. "Isn't that where your team is, Levi?" I ask, glancing back at him from the horses.
"Ill go check it out." Levi announces, breaking off from me and Erwin as we continue forward to the outside of the forest.
"I can come up with some better way to trap it next time, Erwin!" I said, keeping my gaze forward.
"No, I think your idea this time was really good. She couldn't escape from it to she just resorted to the other titans eating her. I think that if we can lure her somewhere where there are not titans, we can actually capture her."
"Yeah," I mumble slowly. The bourses made it out to the edge of the forest, and we dismounted, learning of the casualties and injuries of all our soldiers. Levi and his team still were not back, yt hopefully everything is well over there.
Bodies from the right flank were stacked onto a cart. Whatever that thing was, it was powerful, and we should keep an eye out for it. I heard that it was able to just swing someone around from their gear and send them flying off in the other direction.
I jumped when suddenly a bolt of lightning came back from in side the forest, about where Levi's Team would be right now.
My heart started pounding. Maybe I shouldn't have suggested that (Name) be moved over to Levi's team. I mean, I could have just gotten over what they said and moved on.
Mikasa charged into the forest at such a fast pace that nobody could stop her. She was obviously extremely worried for Eren.
Another bolt slashed through the air. I recognized this titan's voice. I knew this one was Eren, so something must have gone terrible wrong if this was how he resorted to everything.
I nervously bite down on my nails, pacing back and forth just thinking about the whole situation.
"You need to calm down, Hange. Levi's taking care of it all." Erwin stated.
"What if they're already dead?"
"It's Levi's team. They're strong and can put up a fight, so I wouldn't be too worried.
It took about an hour for both Levi and Mikasa to return. Mikasa held Eren in her arms. He was unconscious, but he looked fine. Soon, Levi came following them in the forest. He held (Name), who's skin was covered in burns and bruises.
He slowly handed (Name) over to me, instructing everyone to just continue moving forward. We eventually learned that his whole team was wiped out from the titan.
"Well we can't just leave them back there!" Some random ass guy says. "We have to get them. Honor them in some way."
"Tch, move forward, you've been given an order."
I sat down in one of the carts, lying (Name) down to my side as we began moving forward. I brushed some of their hair away from their face, watching as they rested peacefully.
A couple shouts came from further in the forest as the two random guys came running out with the corpses in their arms. Behind them, they managed to get some titans to follow them.
"Damnit, what'd I say?" Levi growls, continuing to move forward. They placed the corpses in the cart beside us, but the titans would leave us.
"There's no place for us to grapple onto our 3dm gear." Mikasa states, looking around at the flat terrain.
"That's exactly why I told them to not go in there." Levi sighs. "You know what we have to do." He says, looking back at the cart with the corpses in it.
The man operating the cart gave Levi a worried 'are you sure' look. He then followed through with his orders, disposing of the bodies and watching as the titans stopped to eat them.

"Right, we need to get them into the infirmary." Levi said, raising his hands to hold them.
"No," I shake my head, holding onto them tighter. "I can take care of them. I know what I'm doing, Levi."
"Don't you have a lot of paper work to do after this mission?"
"I do," I start. "But I didn't really plan on sleeping tonight." Levi lets out a tch before ruffling my hair and walking away.
I took (Name) back to an empty room in the infirmary and started examining their body. Just from the outside, I could tell they were burned pretty badly. But there were many bruises littered around on their body, so it's possible that there are also many internal injuries.
I touched around on their stomach and felt that some bones were shifted out of their place. This was the case for a couple more areas on their body.
"What the hell happened back there?" I mumble to nobody in particular. I found some ointments for the burns and some bandages to wrap around the broken bones for the time being.
Soon, it looked like most of their body was wrapped in the bandages. I concluded the examination and started heading back to the headquarters.
"How are they looking?" Levi asks, it looked like he was waiting on me.
"Honestly, not very good. Their body is all burnt and they have multiple broken bones."
"Eren woke up." Levi stated. "He told me what happened. Apparently that titan shifter sent up a flare and they thought that they were me. And then, the shifter came through and attacked them and turned into its titan form and that's how they killed them. They told (Name) and Eren to run back to HQ, but Eren transformed right next to (Name)."
"So they probably got burned from his transformation." I start. "And they broke their bones from the fall."
"That sounds most logical to me." Levi nods. "But Hange, I really think you need to stop letting this brat get to you. I think you need to move on."
