This is dedicated to my good friend and good writer, nastyfish.
Thank you so much for my previous imagine and I thought you deserved something to go with it.
______________________Your breathing cut in and out every time you thought of the tragedy.
Your lungs were closing in quickly but you didn't seem to care about it.
Your boyfriend was strapped down to a metal table covered in a white tarp. An arm was visibly hanging from the side as you watched blood soak through the white cloth.
You tried to pull yourself from the grasp of the guards behind you but it was no luck whatsoever. Their fingers digging into your wrists like knives.
Your screams echoed through the room as you could do nothing more but stare through the glass window at your one and only, dying.
"Let him go!" You pleaded struggling under the guards grip yet again. The woman on the other side didn't seem to pay the slightest attention to you.
Instead of listening she decided to go against your will and to do what she was told. A knife was held firmly in her hand, a medical knife by the looks of it.
You couldn't tell what was happening around you anymore. Your mind began to swim as your eyes clouded with tears.
You were trying to scream out but nothing could be heard. The medical machine on the wall was the only thing noticeable, giving off the slightest beat indicating a heart pace.
Your eyes shot open yet again to scream at the woman to stop. Luckily for you the guards weren't ready for this and you slipped out of their grasp.
"Thomas wake up!" You were now banging on the glass with all the energy you had left.
Security cameras adjusted onto you and a familiar voice came over one of the intercoms.
"Guards fall back."
What did that mean? They want to see me suffer? The woman had finished her surgical procedure by the time the thoughts had run through your head.
She gave a heartless smile as she exit the room, locking the door behind her.
It was bare. Just you and your now dead boyfriend separated by a piece of glass. Your hands were pressed against the window as you took in the sight of the monitors heart tracker.
A straight line. This was it.
You were about to go into a mental breakdown when the sounds of a sliding door caught you off guard. The window began to slide down allowing entrance.
Your body was in shock but you managed to climb through. You bolted for the medical table as you stopped inches away.
Thomas's hand lay completely still like the rest of his body, but laying off the table. You gently ran your fingers along his wrist trying to find any spark of hope.
Nothing.
You had nothing left to live for. This was it. The other half of you dead.
~
You were woken to your boyfriend shaking you violently. You shot up into a seated position in record time gasping for a breath of air.
"Ceili! Your awake!" He embraced you in a tight hug as you began to cry silently on his shoulder.
He stroked your hair and rubbed your back gently causing you to slightly calm down.
"What happened with you? You were kicking me for an hour." His face so innocent it almost made you start crying again.
"J-just a nightmare. That's all." Your voice was hard to find but so many things were going through your head at the moment.
You embraced him unexpectedly in a tight hug wrapping your arms securely around his neck. His hands made their way down around your waist as you rest your head on his chest.
"Promise me you'll never leave me. Ever." Your voice barely a whisper.
"I promise."
And with that said, you feel asleep listening to the sound of his steady heartbeat the whole night.
