Hello All! This here is a small taste of a fanfic that's been on my mind for the last...well since I saw Wolf's Rain. (Which was when I was between the ages of 12-13, god I'm so old 😩🤧lol) Anyways, I decided to base this after the end of the anime and since this is a reincarnated world, there are a few changes I made so that it makes sense with the story:
In this world, there will be shapeshifters. I feel like since this is a new world, it makes sense that there would be some sort of evolution. Plus, there will be other supernatural elements in the story since alchemy and magic plays a huge role in the original a story.
I will be aging up some of characters because this will be a mature story so be warned.

"Please, don't leave me too." A white wolf whines in torment, desperately seeking the young maiden's touch. As she places long, spindly fingers over his fur, he closes his golden eyes, trying to relax against her touch.
"The world will freeze over soon," the girl says solemnly, "This One will become its true form and the world will close up."
As she utters these words, the injured man fiercely embraces the young woman before him. He was hurt, blood spewing from the wounds inflicted upon him from the black wolf, whose existence was nothing more than dust on the wind.

The young girl held the injured man tightly, green blood also leaking from her fatal injury as she soothes him.
She pauses, casting her red eyes down at the young man in her arms, caressing him as he tries to look up at her with haunted and pleading eyes. "We will be separated for a while." She notes, a sad look crossing her face as pain flashes across his.
"What should I do?"he begins mournfully , "I have nothing left to protect..."
Though he closed his eyes in apparent pain , it wasn't from his life threatening wounds, but from the breaking of his heart and soul.
Was this all a mistake? His doubts manifested in his despair as he clutched the girl tighter against him.
"We would not have met," the girl continues as if reading his mind. "and the flowers will protect you....because you protected this one, the flowers will return and bloom once more. So when the world is reborn, and Paradise opens, we will meet again."
