Y/N is hiding from a stalking ex that just won't leave her alone.
As a last resort, she goes to an old home owned by her family, a home she grew up in.
The big house secluded enough from town is the perfect place for her and her dog to hide, only th...
We all alternate from watching Y/N unpack boxes, moving around the house to put away the contents before moving on to the next, and the show she had put on the television.
The remote lays on the arm of the chair, and I run my thumb over it, wondering if there is anything better to watch.
I am partial to sports but I wouldn't mind exploring what other shows are there to watch.
We learned a little about this type of device from the last tenants we had.
They had been avid television watchers, seeming to prefer shows that contained violence and things blowing up, detectives trying to figure out who the killer was, and shows about cars.
I just hope Y/N has better taste than the current one she was watching, the fact that six children are running around town trying to kill a monster that has a mouth for a head is just strikes my nerves.
Finding the CH button on the remote, Jungkook uses a bit of power to hit the up arrow. The channel changed to what appeared to be a news show with a man and a woman yelling at one another about government nonsense.
"Change to something else," Jin says, not entertained by the yelling.
Jungkook is about to hit the button again when we all realized there was absolute silence from behind us.
Looking back, we see Y/N staring that the television screen, her eyes wide, her body unmoving.
Just to see what she would do, he hit the up button again, changing the channel once more.
The show it landed on this time comprised a group of people walking around in the basement of a building talking about EMF Meters, and thermal cameras, and asking ghosts to give them a sign.
"What the hell?!" Namjoon sniffs in disdain.
"Seriously, no self-respecting ghost would ever show themselves to a bunch of charlatans like them" I mumble in disgust.
"No fucking way." The expletive comes from behind me, causing me to turn in surprise.
Damn, I forgot she saw Kook change the channel.
Y/N is still staring at the television, but frowning now.
She walks around the couch cautiously and picks up the remote from the arm of the chair.
Looking at the remote in her hand before looking around the room, she shook her head. "There are no such things as haunted houses." She says out loud trying to assure herself.
She turns the television back to the show she was watching, somehow finding the place it had left off.
"Do we really have to watch this?" I whine, not liking the monsters called Demogorgons.
Where did they even find such beasts and why are children the ones trying to kill them? Where are the adults?
"Hyung! Don't tell me you are scared" Jungkook teases me, laughing at my expense.
The rest of the guys join in.
"Hobi Hyung, you are scarier than the Demogorgon when you are angry," Jimin says laughing.
"And uglier too" Namjoon adds sending everyone into a fit of laughter.
I should have gone with Yoongi or something...
Is he still in the bedroom?
We all patiently wait for Y/N to walk around the couch before Tae moves to the device.
A buzzer from the other room alerted us that the washer had finished its cycle, making Y/N leave the living room to put the sheets into the dryer.
Tae takes advantage of her absence to change the channel back to the show about haunted houses.
Seriously?! out of all the shows he would pick that.
I wonder what Y/N will do when she sees we changed the channel again.
It doesn't take long because at that moment Y/N comes back into the room.
We all watch her lips purse together as she once again returned to the couch to pick up the remote, this time turning on a show about four old ladies living in a house as roommates with a lot of canned laughter in the background.
"Fine, no Stranger Things but if you change the channel again, I'm turning the parental locks on."
"What's a parental lock?" Jimin asks looking around for an answer.
"No clue, but this show is better than what she was watching," I say with a shrug, seating back.
"Hardly," Tae and Jungkook say at the same time before getting comfortable as they too watch this new show.
Perhaps she is becoming wise, realizing she is not alone.
It has always been fun to play with the emotions of the humans entering our home and I haven't been this entertained in quite a while.
Still, she has to go.
