THE SCENT OF LAVENDAR SWIRLED around the atmosphere. The soft melodies of Care by Sonder filled Kasia's ears as she soaked in the bathtub. Bubbles covered her mocha skin,her muscles relaxing under the soothing water.
Soaking in the warm water,a sigh escaped her lips out of relaxation. After a long day of being out in the world this is what she needed. Taking a bubble bath was like bliss to her.
She watched the flames from the candles dance in the dark,creating an ambiance in the bathroom. And so with a satisfied sigh,she lifted up a glass of dry red wine, and slowly but surely nursed it.
She felt like all was well in that moment, and the moments like these, she fed to herself-she wouldn't trade for the entire world.
Her hands grabbed at the white towel and started to bathe. She hummed along to the lyrics of the music as she scrubbed herself clean. After fifteen minutes,she was out of the tub with a towel wrapped around her body walking to her room to dry off.
White slippers hit the floor as they carried her to the living room. A white t-shirt and shorts covered her body. She bought the glass of wine towards her lips and welcomed the beverage in.
"I'm so tired." she mumbled as she sat down on the white couch. She placed the glass on the table and picked up the remote. The once black tv screen was now playing an episode of Criminal Minds.
Chills spread through her body chasing her to rub her arms. She reached over and placed the white blanket over body,snuggling under it. The sound of a thump sounded off the floor making her ears perk up. She furrowed her eyebrows and paused the tv.
Her hands reached down and picked up her photo album. She furrowed her eyebrows and they relaxed when she remembered. She bit down on her bottom lip as she opened up the book.
A smile graced her face as she stared at the pictures of her when she was younger. She rubbed her fingers along the picture. Sometimes she wished she could still be a kid again,it was all so simple. As she got older,she realized how complicated life truly is.
