THE CHILLY WIND BLEW gently against Kasia's face. Her hands were tucked into the pockets of her black coat as she stood staring at the grave. She bit her bottom lip as a wave of emotions rushed through her.

In Loving Memory Of Joseph Parrish, she read the words on the tombstone. Sometimes it still seemed unreal that her grandfather was gone until she realized that she would no longer hear his voice or his laugh. She threw her head back as tears welled up in her eyes.

"I said I wasn't going to cry." she muttered as she looked down. She blew out a sigh and shook her head.

"I'm still having a hard time believing you're gone. I mean I know you're gone but this still all feels so unreal. It's like I'm living in a nightmare and I can't wake up from it." she mumbled as she wiped away the fallen tears.

"My life has been on a constant spiral since you left. I actually feel like I'm losing my mind and there's no one I can really talk to about it." she looked down at the ground. Recent events played in her mind leaving her feeling as if she couldn't catch a break.

"I wanted to talk to Nana but I just needed space. I know she means well and she just worries about me. Sometimes it's just too much and I need a break." she sighed.

"I've been having these nightmares that feel real or maybe I'm just crazy." she shrugged as a nervous laugh escaped her lips. She shook her head and placed her hand on the tombstone.
