01 - Love to Hate

" Ha-rin time for dinner. "
I heard my mom calling from downstairs. With a single sigh I closed the comic I was reading and checked the time.

9:30pm

I was so engrossed in the book that I totally forgot the time. I stood up and walked downstairs.

" Aren't you hungry? You didn't eat anything after you came home after school. " My mom asked worriedly as I was sitting on the chair. As if on cue my stomach roared to notify me that yes, I'm hungry.

" I was hungry I guess. " I answered sheepishly smiling at my mom.
" What were you doing that you forgot to eat food? I mean not everyday a pig decides to go dieting. "

"MOM! I'm not a pig... Okay maybe I'm but Food is life and I need food to survive! "

I protested to which my mom just chuckled, "I can't blame you for that besides I love seeing you eat what you like, because young girls nowadays go on dieting and all just to impress and never care about themselves but you still didn't answer my question. " My mom asked after serving me and sitting with her own plate of food.

" I was reading a book. " I replied stuffing my face with food. " You and a book? Pfft. " My mom said not believing me.
" Okay I know you know that I don't read books but it was sejin's recommendation, more like I was forced to read. " I said with my stuffed mouth.

"And you are liking it since you are actually reading it and slow down, you don't wanna choke and die. "

"Hmm I'm loving it and I can't, I have to finish eating fast so that I can keep reading it. "
" What's the book about? "

" It's a BL. " I replied swallowing the last bite. " Your first time reading a book and it's a BL? Wow, it must be pretty good! " My mom said sounding amused.

"Yup! " I replied and went into the kitchen, washed my dishes and went upstairs, towards my room.
" Don't stay up too late! " My mom shouted before I closed my bedroom door, grabbed the book and plopped on the bed and continued reading the book.

2 hours later

"Aahh!! Aa waeeee!! " I shouted but keeping my voice low so that my mom won't wake up.
(I don't know how that's shouting but still)
" Why did the author give a sad ending!! " I turned on my stomach and started kicking my legs due to frustration.

I read the whole book in just one day but it had to have a sad ending. " Aish! That shortcake! How dare she recommend me when she knows I hate sad endings! " I said still frustrated and then I checked the clock and realized that it's time to sleep if I don't wanna be late to school and miss the chance of killing my lovely ew friend sejin.

The next day

I woke up on time, got ready, had my breakfast and left for school. After reaching the school gates I saw a familiar brunette, short and chubby cheeked female who was also known as my friend sejin. "Sejin-ah! " I shouted and ran up to her. She must have sensed my mood since she started sprinting inside the school.

" Yah! Don't you dare run away shortcake! " I shouted while running behind her. When we reached the school garden she slowed her speed and said, "Aah! I-I am tired. " She was all huffing and puffing.
I caught up to her "I-I caught you." I said trying to regain my breath. We both sat on the ground all tired due to our little morning walk or rather morning jog.
