Between a diamond and a demon, one would expect for the demon to be the loud, brash one who tried to scare people and cause trouble, but that was simply wrong.

The Happy Duo was one of the most widely accepted "villains" in the country. It was to be expected since they did try to cause as little trouble as they could, and they were like Robin Hood if Robin Hood were a duo. Took from the rich and gave to the poor, they were extremely nice and had a record for not hurting anyone. People didn't really see them as villains, but since they did steal they were still breaking the law and publicly enough to garner attention. Good attention. Even though they were supposed to be jailed when found, a lot of heroes and cops would turn a blind eye or pretend nothing was happening when in public since if they were arrested publicly, there would be public outrage especially from the poor and the younger generation who thought they were pretty cool.

Outside of being a duo, Skeppy, the diamond one did like to play some harmless pranks on people, but when working with BBH, the demon, he tried to stay out of trouble. Though they were villains, they were seen more as vigilantes in the eye of the public. Their reputation as a duo was completely clean, they only stole from people who didn't need the money and wouldn't have noticed unless it were them stealing, the amount stolen not putting a dent in their numbers. They were only 'evil' to the government because they were popular.

"Welcome to the shop," Tommy said, "What would you like to order?" Strangely enough, they were the most normal customers he had cause literally everyone else did something completely out of the normal, Happy Duo just stole and helped the poor.

"A caffe mocha for me and for him a muffin," Skeppy said, pointing to BBH, "because he can't handle coffee, it's too bitter or something," from that alone, Tommy knew that Skeppy was a talker. He was already oversharing and they just met.

He placed their orders and was going to get a muffin first since they're pre-made before realizing they never clarified what flavor BBH wanted, "What flavor?"

Skeppy looked over at BBH, "I want a blueberry muffin." It wasn't his first time seeing BBH, it wasn't his first time seeing BBH in person either, but it was so weird to see BBH smiling. Not that BBH was notorious for being serious, yeah he was more mature than Skeppy was, but he wasn't some serious guy who was never seen happy. They were named Happy Duo after all, for the happiness they brought to the people they stole for and the positivity they always held even when they were going to get in trouble. But they never cared since they knew what they were doing was for a good cause.

The reason it was so weird was the fact BBH was basically a void that wore a hoodie and the only features he had were a mouth that could only be seen when he opened his mouth and white eyes. Which in itself wasn't all that bad, but the light didn't affect BBH at all, as in the only shadows on him were on his clothing. Otherwise, his skin was pitch black and his eyes were bright enough that Tommy was half convinced that they would give off light if Tommy turned off the lights. But then again that should have been expected seeing as that was how BBH was able to steal so easily, he took care of the stealth part of their heists, even wearing the darkest black clothing he had ever seen on top of his skin. The only color on BBH was red stripes on the sides of his hoodie.

"What name is your order going to be under?" Skeppy and Bad were people he didn't have to guess the expressions of, neither of them wore masks cause they lived on the edge and they didn't need it especially after they got support good enough to keep them from ever being arrested as far as the public could see.

"Bad." BBH said.

"Bad." Tommy repeated. "Is that your real name?" This was one of the moments that Tommy was willing to admit he was confused for, out of all the villains, BBH was not the one he thought would reveal his real name first.

BBH, Bad , shrugged his shoulders and he smiled like Tommy's confusion was funny, "Yeah, something wrong with it?" And Tommy knew that Bad knew that Tommy did not ask that because he thought his name was weird, which in retrospect it was kind of weird but he's roommates with a guy named Ranboob and his roommate would always try to correct him like he was wrong. Bad knew that Tommy meant that in a why the hell are you telling me your real name way.

Skeppy clearly found it funny cause he burst out laughing when he saw Tommy's confused face which caused Bad to start laughing, too. It was extremely clear they were best friends with how close they were, the fact that they decided mutually to do crime for the better good, and how if one of them laughed the other would too just because he liked that the other was happy.

Also , Tommy had realized that even though the coffee was for Skeppy and they obviously knew he wouldn't be writing on the muffin, wait actually. No, no, that would be bad for the shop's nonexistent reputation. He had to hold himself back more than Ranboo had to hold himself back from putting spaghetti into every meal . Seriously. Tommy was sick of it.

When he finished their order, he did pretend to not know that Bad was Bad's name, he wanted to at least do something to get back at them, and he doubted that either of them would actually care seeing as one of them was notorious for pulling pranks. "Order for... Bed?" He saw Bad freeze in his spot midconversation with Skeppy who burst out into giggles. Giggles did seem like a weird word to use for a so-called villain's laugh, but that was what best described it. Bad seemingly did not know how to react to that because he only blinked, Skeppy raised his hand stifling his laughter.

"Here." Bad crossed his arms, squinting his eyes at Skeppy, Skeppy tried to compose himself, "It's Bad actually." Tommy shrugged innocently as if he was completely clueless as to what was happening. Skeppy also shrugged but in a what can I do? kind of way.

Happy Duo were by far the most casual and least intimidating of the villains Tommy had met and it was probably because they were just chill people who wanted people to be happy.

They talked about whatever they talked about before Skeppy called Tommy for his attention, making Tommy's head snap up. Tommy looked at Skeppy waiting for him to ask him what he needed from him, "Have we met you before?'

Tommy's jaw dropped slightly, he closed his mouth after a split second, "Yeah," Tommy hesitated. "A while ago you gave my roommates and I some food." Skeppy and Bad both looked a little shocked at that before they looked at each other and gave each other a smile that probably meant something that he couldn't understand. To them it meant that everything was worth it.

Even though they were known for their positivity, they were people, too, no matter what people thought of them.

A year before he started working at the coffee shop and Ranboo and Tubbo got their jobs and the three of them were anywhere near stable, they met the Happy Duo. They were struggling with getting food when the renowned Skeppy and BBH were behind them and handed them food with a warm smile. They told the three to stay safe and left as the three stayed standing there shellshocked.

That moment, the moment someone labelled as a 'villain' showed him and his family kindness. That was when he decided that someone being called a villain didn't make them a bad person.
