Cookie Run: Journey

Chapter 4: Parfaedia is looking a lot more like Halffaedia right about now

Finally, after a "small" amount of trauma from Dark Choco yesterday, they have finally arrived! But… upon their arrival, the city of Parfaedia isn't what Y/N cookie's group thought. Half of the place was burned down to the ground, not only that, there was also a portal above the remains of Parfaedia.
There were a few cookies working in rebuilding the city but they seemed tense.

Y/N: "Is it just me or is that hole in the sky real?"

Dark Milk: "We see it too, from the looks of, it just screams bad news entirely."

Last Vanilla: "Never mind that! Let's check what happened here!"

It was just another sad sight, like the one back in the farm, in ruins and hopeless. Y/N Cookie was looking within the piles of rubble in case there was anyone stuck. All he/she could see is a lot of crumbs and pieces lying about everywhere…

???: "Hold it you three!"

The three Cookies were stopped by some cookie of high authority. He was wearing a jacket, looked old, and was certainly drinking coffee to maintain his energy. His name is Detective Almond Cookie.

Almond Cookie: "This place is no longer for tourists like yourselves, I suggest you three leave before any harm is done."

Y/N: "Excuse me, but who are you and where are we?"

Almond: "The name is Almond Cookie, Magical Emergency Handling… or atleast was."

Oh boy… here we go again…

Last Vanilla: "I don't think there is any need for an explanation since we are sure that the portal above us is the reason, right?"

Almond: "I'm afraid so, miss, fortunately the citizens had enough time to evacuate. The rest of us stayed back to fight back the beasts coming out of the rift."

Latte Cookie and Cream Puff appeared while they were looking around the area.

Cream Puff Cookie: "Hello there, I'm very sorry that… you came all the way to see this, if only I…"

Latte Cookie: "You did your best Cream Puff Cookie and everyone got to a safe place. There is no need to worry."

Cream Puff: "Hold on… I sense some inexplicable magic coming from you."

She was referring to Y/N Cookie, Latte feels it as well but it wasn't like any magic cookies usually have. It felt… warmer like fire… A very comfortable one that feels like sitting by a fireplace.

Latte: "Excuse me, Y/N cookie is it? You seem to possess fire magic don't you?"

Y/N: "How did you…?"

Dark Milk: "Wizards feel the magic of other cookies, it is not surprising that both cream puff Cookie and Latte Cookie both feel the fire magic within you."

Cream puff: "I'm sure that I feel something else but I can't put my finger on it…"
(That's if cookies have fingers anyways)

Almond: Is that so? Well then, maybe with your help we can get rid of that rift in the sky."

It didn't take long but an earthquake happened as the sky was filled with an ominous color… Something was coming and it was not good.

Last Vanilla: "W-what is happening!?"

Cream Puff: "Oh no, they are gonna strike again!"

Almond: "Get your weapons ready, we'll be facing a wave of beasts from the rift itself!"

Y/N: "Huh!?"

They were not joking, a huge wave of beasts appeared from the rift! They all look tougher than what Y/N's group faced before.
