No longer than an hour later, the four of you sat inside the warmed cabin of Rey's tidy car in silence.Sitting in the drive of Starkiller Estates dwarfed the vehicle you sat in almost comically.
Poe was the first to make a sound after passing the firefly lights leading up the drive.
He cleared his throat. "It's bigger than I thought it would be."
"That's what she said" Finn interjected, then paused. "Sorry."
At least one of you was feeling themselves amidst the weirdness brewing.
Before anyone could speak - the doors of the estate opened and none other than Kylo Ren made his way from the dwelling and out into the snow.
When he reached the car, he immediately went for Rey's door first - an act that was not lost on you. Though it was hard to miss that his eyes were shifting to the backseat where you were seated as he went for your door next.
"Please, watch your step." He held an arm out to you as he let the two men open their own doors.
Vicrul stood, blending perfectly into the scenery, his back against the door to hold it open as his arm beckoned your friends inside. "We have the fire going, come, get warm."
Finn stumbled up the grand steps and Vicrul moved quickly to grab onto the man's arm to steady him. "Do be careful, sir."
How professional.
Kylo held you closely as he led you both up the steps, behind the trio that were snow covered and rosy cheeked from just a few minutes in the blistering elements.
Poe let out a whistle as Finn brushed the snow off his partner's back. Rey was cautious but stepped inside just the same. The tension building slowly like steam in a kettle as the crowd of you grew accustomed to the space - and sharing it with Kylo Ren.
That is, until Daisy trotted into the foyer. Happy to see you, she brushed past your friends and rubbed against your leg.
"Holy shit-" Poe had nearly jumped out of his skin at the sight of the wolf-like creature.
"Isn't she beautiful?" You cooed, scratching the dog's favorite spot behind her ear.
"That's a whole wolf!" Rey added.
Kylo smiled at the sight of his girls. "Totally harmless, I promise."
The three moved to shower her with pats and praise, and Daisy was all too happy to allow them to spoil her with such affection.
Vicrul had made himself scarce, something only you seemed to take note of. Ghosts.
"Dinner is almost ready, if you'd like to set up in the dining room. After we eat you can make yourselves comfortable to study, if you'd like... I hear exams are on the horizon." Kylo said, causing Finn and Poe to startle slightly. It was unexpected that his baritone voice filled the silence and bounced off the walls with a slight echo.
Rey, however, was stoic and... reserved? You raised an eyebrow at her and she rushed a smile to her lips. "Thank you, Mr. Ren. It smells lovely."
Kylo did not miss a beat. "Kylo. Please."
As the four of them made their way to the lavish dining room, you paled.
The jar.
Tugging at Kylo's sleeve, you held him back.
He smiled at you until he caught sight of your worried expression, and leaned down. "What's wrong, button?" His velvet voice a hushed tone that turned your core to goo.
