And to think all of this started with a single question; why is Nino so attached to an old baseball cap?
Yeah, I think I read way too far into that, but alas, knowing Mr. Astruc, maybe I still haven't read far enough. Perhaps one day, we shall see...
Okay, well, as long as you are here, let's get right to it with a couple of small things that you will need to know for this story to make sense:
1st, this book is a direct sequel to another, entitled Shell Game, and while you are more than welcome to read this one without glancing at the other, there are...certain factors...that may be alluded. These may be difficult to understand without sufficient knowledge of what went down previously. As always, however, you have the power to do whatever you so wish. Don't let me stop you. You are more than welcome to join the chaos.
2nd, this story, though it is slotted to fit between some of the early events of season four, has grown to be an entire AU, due to having not known certain details about upcoming episodes that would have been greatly appreciated.
Here are those things that are no longer canonically correct:
1. This takes place between Gang of Secrets and Optigami. You might see nods to both hidden within.
2. The holders of the ram and rooster miraculouses are backwards, and likewise, their abilities, though super unique, are not necessarily accurate to the show.
3. The powers of the ram and dog are also inaccurate (but, honestly, just as cool).
4. Gabriel and Natalie take turns using the peacock miraculous.
5. I was very unaware of what exactly happened to the temple in Tibet. For the sake of this story, it was later rebuilt, but now there are other "outposts" scattered throughout the world where the Guardians who "vanished" went into hiding.
Okay, I think that's it!
