I love Michael on stage so much, he owns it.
You can tell entertaining is just his thing, he runs around, smiles, jumps, laughs.
Looks so perfect was just about to finish and everyone was getting into it
The concert was nowhere near finished and the vibes were high!
Sometimes I wish I could go and stand in the front row and mosh pit instead of being backstage
Just so I can really see the boys perform
But as Michael and I have been going out for almost a year now, backstage is the safer place to be
I could tell the vibes were extra high tonight, especially because of the special effects the boys had on this new stage
Huge flames and crazy lights! They hadn't rehearsed much with them so we're still getting to grips with it
I saw Calum up next to Ashton jamming out and suddenly jumping away, not thinking much of it until I realised it was probably the huge flames as the next thing I saw was Michael getting hit
Right in the face
Everything went a bit of a blur. There was smoke coming off his hair, people were screaming
Michael sprinted off stage past me straight to the standby paramedics
The boys quickly caught onto what happened and ran backstage along with me, to find Michael
It was heartbreaking
Michael was obviously in a bad state, half his hair was burnt, his face sweating and spit was falling from his mouth as he sat there gasping for breath
I ran up behind his and put my hand on his shoulder not wanting to get to close and hurt him
'I'm here Mikey, it will be ok, it'll all be ok'
He looked back at me with the most painful look I've ever seen. His eyes were dark over, his mouth still open and burns over the side of his face
To make matters worse the crowd started chanting 'we want more, we want more!'
I glanced over at the other boys and my heart broke even more.
Luke looked like he was going to be sick, Calum was crying. Proper tears were falling from his eyes.
Ashton was trying to be brave but it wasn't hard to tell he was terrified for his best friend.
Ashton starting asking about whether the show should keep going and how he didn't think it should
'If we're not going to keep going we will just tell them sorry but we can't keep playing'
Tour management agreed with this and Ashton shuffled sadly back on stage.
I heard his apologies to the crowd and the worry grew loud in the arena
Ashton came back and everyone still looked sick, Calum still crying. Luke's head was now resting on one of the managers obviously beyond scared for Mike.
I kept stoking my thumb on his shoulder whispering comforting and resurrection words whilst he was getting checked.
'I love you Mike'
'I love you too'
I gave him a delicate peck on the lips and he gave me a weak smile, immediately wincing and the obvious pain it caused
'Did we get it on film?' He asked
A light chuckle rippled through backstage, honestly, what is he like
