Alaric handed the book to Professor Sprout. "Chapter Three; Finding Out About the Wizarding World." she said.

After two weeks in the cupboard with the only time left for going to the bathroom, cooking dinner, or gardening. So one day the mail came in a Henrick went out to grab it, while Briar finished up breakfast. There was only junk mail, but as he goes through it, there were two letters with his and Brier's names.

More grumbles and glares.

Henrick picked it up and stared at it, his heart twanging like a giant elastic band. No one, ever, in his whole life, had written to them. Who would? Their only friend was Lyra, no other relatives — they didn't belong to the library, so they'd never even got rude notes asking for books back. Yet here it was, a letter addressed, so plainly there could be no mistake:

"Hogwarts letter." Sirius and James said with giddiness. Making Lord Black look at his grandson with a kind look.

"You all knew." Petunia said in a quiet voice.

"There are self-writing quiles." Professor McGonagall said.

But the other Professors were not having in, especially Flitwick and Sprout. "Which is you job as the deputy headmistress to check." they told her with a glare that could freeze hell.

"And its not the only time." Regulus said, thinking of the time when Mother locked Sirius in the basement, and the letter said it. Which made Lord Black narrow his eyes, along with Madam Bones and everyone who has a say in the council.

While the rest of the Professors shake in disbelief at her. "Of all people." Professor Sprout started, while this just confirmed Madam Pomfrey's supposition.

The envelope was thick and heavy, made of yellowish parchment, and the address was written in emerald-green ink. There was no stamp.

"What's a stamp?" asked Arthur.

"It's something you place on letters to see you already pre-paid for you postage." Petunia told him kindly.

Turning the envelope over, his hand trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake surrounding a large letter H.

Taking a deep, shaky breath, he handed Uncle Alaster the junk mail, before putting their letters in their cupboard.

"At least he got his mother's brains or his grandmother's." Lord Black said gruffly, never truly understanding why his sister wanted to marry that idiot.

They ate their toast, before going back inside their cupboard. They have light bulbs in their room which don't give a whole lot of light since they keep it on for almost twenty-four a day.
