M/N was walking down the castles corridor when he passed by lances room he heard soft crying and sniffles, M/N put his ear to the door listening closely

When all a sudden the door opened making him fall face flat on the floor with a THUD, "M/N? why are you by my door?" Asked lance completely confused why his boyfriend was hanging out by his door.

"Well you see, I was taking a walk when I heard you crying.. Are you okay lance?" M/N sat down next to him slowly putting his hand on his back

Lance looked down his eyes got glossy and tears began to pour, M/N quickly hugged lance, cradling him as he whispered sweet words into his ear.

"What's going on lance? You know you can talk to me" M/N put his hand on Lance's cheek caressing it with his thumb

"Ever since we've been in this castle, I've been feeling homesick.. I miss my family.." Lance held M/N's hand squeezing it tight, M/N knew something else was bothering lance so he asked

"Lance are you sure? Is that all your feeling homesick?" Lance's eyes looked away as he fiddled with his fingers M/N Put a hand on his shoulder

"Lance please what's really bothering you?" He asked with a concerned look he was worried for lance, he was his boyfriend and he loves him so much

Lance sighed knowing there's no way out of it

"I've actually been feeling like I don't belong, I'm constantly making mistakes, always getting the team in trouble, and I'm the one who got you hurt!" Lance started balling tears, he was to afraid to meet your eyes when he felt a pair of warm lips on his

He slowly locked eyes with M/N as they kissed, the kiss was filled with love, they both pulled away, M/N hugged lance tight

Lance was shocked he didn't know how to react, that was until he heard crying, M/N was crying, "M/N what's wrong!? Why are you crying!?" Lance started panicking having no idea why he was crying.

"I'm sorry lance! I'm so sorry you felt that way! I should have told you something sooner!" M/N slowly wiped his tears he became serious again

Lance was completely shocked he never saw this side of his boyfriend before, he was slowly pulled into a warm embrace by M/N

"lance listen to me, you do belong! Your the teams spirit their pride, your my pride, and people make mistakes, heh even Keith does, but that's how we learn, we learn from our mistakes!, and it wasn't your fault I got hurt, I wasn't paying attention, so lance the next time you ever feel like this, remember there's people who care for you, who love you and admire you" M/N gave Lance a warm smile showing he cares and he loves him very much.

Lance couldn't hold back his tears no more he started balling, he jumped into M/N's arms smiling knowing he's loved and he has people, friends who care for him

"Feeling better?" M/N softly played with Lance's hair smiling warmly towards him, "yeah, thanks a lot M/N, you mean so much to me" lance gave the taller male a quick peck on the lips as pink tinted his cheeks

"I love you so much lance, always remember that" M/N gave Lance a kiss then went back to playing with his hair.

Lance's POV:

I slowly woke up from a dream of me and...Him...

I slowly got up and got dressed when I heard a knock on the door "come in" it was Keith

"Hey I hope you remember it's his Anniversary today" Keith said with a sad look

"Yeah I know, I'll been down there in a bit"

TIME SKIP

The whole team where in front of a grave stone, that marked 'M/N L/N BELOVED SON,BROTHER,FIANCE' after the fight with the galra we were going to get married.. But he died dearing the battle

I placed his favorite flowers down by his head stone saying a few words then standing back up again I remember those words he told me before he died 'I love you lance, please never give up theres always hope if you look for it' I started to tear up playing with the ring he gave me.

'I love you too M/N, I promise I'll never give up hope, I promise I'll join you in the after life..'

I kissed his grave stone and wished goodbye as we left the cemetery, I feel a presence behind me, I turn around but nothing was there

But I knew exactly who it was, and I knew he was watching over me as a guardian angel

'I love you, keep going never give up'

I smile feeling better knowing that he's still here, still with me.
