Wildberry laid in the chamber, drowning in his misery. He was glad he found out what happened in the meeting, but the information hit harder than Hollyberry's back pat.
He felt so upset about this for some reason. He didn't even know Clotted Cream that well. But he supposed to was nice talking to the blonde. Clotted Cream never questioned why he disliked berry juice and just accepted it as part of him. Clotted Cream was quite polite about everything and never seemed to judge. So maybe Wildberry did miss that man. Clotted Cream did make his day, and was nicer than others when it came to the...Berry juice and some other things he liked.

Well...Wildberry didn't really enjoy all those events and parties in the Hollyberry kingdom...And almost everyone would look him funny because of it.

"So...Are you sure you don't wanna come?"
One of his previous friends asked.
"I'm certain,"
Wildberry had answered with a firm look on his face.
"Oh come on! You're no fun!"
His other friend yelled at him before they left.

That was that for a hollyberrian that didn't really like anything hollyberrian.

At the moment, he had no one to go to. Hollybery was probably the only Hollyberrian that was more chill about all this. And at the moment, she was busy with another meeting; probably about the same topic form yesterday.

As Wildberry was just contemplating about what to do, he heard something.

The child approached him as they sat next to him. They were oddly in a different outfit.
"...Good afternoon..."
They said as they crouched next to him. They weren't in their usual black cargo pants and black hoodie. They had a light cream coloured jacket and a black turtleneck underneath. Blue shorts and knee socks and the same black boots.
"...Good afternoon. What's with the different outfit..?"
Wildberry asked them as they seemed to be a little worried about their shorts.
"Nothing...Just that I thought...No...I...Nevermind,"
The child tried to answer but all that came out were little mumbles as they seemed to have lost their voice for a moment.

Wildberry sighed and sat up.
He looked at them, wondering what to do now.
"...Would you mind if I ask you a question?"
Wildberry asked the child as they looked at him.
"Sure...Go on,"
They said as they sat up straight to face Wildberry in the eyes.
"...How is Clotted Cream doing if you still see him...Or if he's okay and well..."
Wildberry asked the child as the froze. They hit their lip as they tried to think of how to tell him.

"...He's alright. That's the most I can say,"

The child answered as they felt their heart beating rapidly against the chest, almost ready to burst out. Wildberry wanted to know more...But stopped himself from asking. The kid seemed...They looked so guilt-ridden. Did they do something?

I better call the Crème Republicans....Maybe they're better people...Kinder to those they need.

Siri was thinking as they sat on their bed in silence. They took the phone and started dialling the number rapidly, soon packing the phone at their ear and seeing if any of the Crème Republicans would answer.

After about 5 minutes of being greeted with silence, someone finally answered.

"Yes yes...Hello?"
The familiar voice of Oyster greeted.
"The Consul of the Crème Republic is with us. If you don't admit the truth to the Ancients-"
"What will you do? Kill him?"
"...Yes. We'll take his life,"

Siri was expecting Oyster to sound more concerned...
But...

"Mhm. It's fine. If he doesn't have the soul jam with him, he's fine. Take his life. He's not needed anymore,"

Oyster quickly answered before hanging up. Siri was greeted by silence as they tried to call again but no one answered.

"...SHIT-!"

Siri screamed as they smashed the phone back into its holder. Siri breathed heavily as they realised their hand was bleeding. They just smashed their hand into the wall. As small bits of concrete dropped to the ground, blood stained the white walls as Siri screamed once more. This time in disbelief and rage.

...

There was nothing they could do about it in the end...It really was...Hopeless....

The child looked at Wildberry as they stayed silent.
"Mhm?"
Wildberry let out a confused hum.
"N-No...It's nothing..."
The child quickly answered before they vanished. They hadn't even answered his question. Wildberry sighed before deciding to head to the garden. It was going to be another awfully lonely day.

As Napoleon threw Clotted Cream back into his 'room', he groaned in pain as the hints of magic still seemed to burn him. It felt as if he was dissolving into nothingness. Siri...Where the f$ck are you...
He found himself wondering as he tried to think of the only comfort he had in this awful place. Ironic that the comfort was also one of the tormentors...
He would have punched Siri in the face if they weren't so...Guilt-ridden...

"WHY THE F$CK HAVEN'T ANY OF YOU TRIED TO FIND ME YET-!"

He screamed into the wall as the image of the Crème Republic flashed in his mind before he dropped down to his knees from the pain.

"...Please...I only wanted to make you proud...Anyone...Send anyone...Just...Come find me...Acknowledge me...Please...Wildberry..."
