(A/N)
Not bothering with the A/N too much but I will be updating this story every Friday (save for yesterday) and now Enjoy! Also, this might be a bit short so apologies for that next one will be longer
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alex ducked at the monster she and her best friend, Percy were fighting. Alex had a claw in her side as well as several cuts and a dislodged jaw. Percy was no better. A nasty bruise swelled up on his left cheek, his shoulder was out of place and he had a big cut on his left leg. This wasn't normal, usually they were excellent monster hunters. That was their job. Hunting monsters and working their way up the ranks.
Currently, they were on the outskirts of a small village named Rustin battling an unidentified monster. Percy tried to stab the monster yet again but he got thrown back.
"PERCY THIS IS USELESS! WE NEED TO RETREAT!" Alex yelled over to Percy. Unfortunately, Percy wasn't the only one who heard her he was unconscious anyway so it didn't matter. The monster turned towards her and roared. Alex panicked, she ran over to Percy grabbed him, and continued running towards the town. The monster for some odd reason didn't follow them it just stayed in the forest but that wasn't Alex's primary concern. Her concern was her unconscious best friend.
She somehow managed to limp towards the nearest building to them. It was a three-story house with a stable attached to it and a sign that said 'The Chase Family Inn' but Alex's vision was so blurry it looked something like 'teh chse fmly inn'.
Alex burst through the doors hoping she didn't startle too many people. The green-haired girl then fell to the floor merely 3 steps into the grand house. She heard confused shouting and the 'tap tap tap' of footsteps descending stairs. The last thing she saw was a grey-eyed person starting at her concern written on his face before the world around her drained into black.
