2008You would be surprised at how many people you can fit into a small hotel room.
You would be surprised how many people were needed to help a little girl get ready for what could possibly be the most important night of her life, this was the make or break, and her future career could go one of two ways. Though this didn't seem to bother the now eight year old who was sat on one of the kitchen stools, she just didn't get all the fuss, she didn't understand why all the adults around her where so stressed after all they are only going to the cinema.A tall man with white, spiked hair was stood in front of Erin with a fluffy bristled makeup brush in his hand which he was softly dragging over the girls face.
"You are doing so well sweetheart, you are going to look like a princess on that red carpet." The tall man said.
"I think I would much rather look like the black widow from the comics I read, she's so cool!" Replied Erin.
"Me too kiddo, me too." Said the tall man with a giggle.Sarah sat in the corner looking down at her phone, the lit up screen showing an array of baby pictures, her Erin. As she slowly flicked through the selection of photos she could begin to feel the tears prickling at the corners of her eyes, fighting like clouds in a thunderstorm to crawl down her face. She couldn't believe that her little baby was already so big, it felt like just yesterday that Erin was taking her first steps and now she was getting ready to go to her first premier.
"Mummy look!" Sarah heard a small voice shout at her, she turned around and came face to face with the young girl and she looked beautiful. She had very subtle makeup and its only purpose was to make sure that the lights didn't make her look like a ghost, her hair was styled into slight curls and a small, simple braid climbed round her head, she wore a Lacey white dress that poofed out slightly at the bottom and fell short just above her knees and a pair of white converse which Erin insisted on wearing just in case she needed to save the world half way through like black widow would.Sarah and Erin climbed into the black suv and David started the short drive to the premier.
When they arrived at the premier David got out of the car first slowly opening the door for Erin and Sarah.
"I will be right next to you, if it gets to much then you just tell me okay." David said to Erin offering her his hand.
"Ill be okay David, I promise." The young girl replied, placing her small hand in David's large one climbing out of the big car. The three started walking towards the carpet entrance, they got to the side of the carpet and Erin saw Gwyneth posing for pictures. As she saw all the flashes from the cameras she started to panic, the nerves finally setting in and she refused to go anywhere near that carpet. Sarah and David tried to convince her to go out but it just stressed her out even more. She was on the verge on tears when she heard a familiar voice.
"Come on Erin lets go, you can come with me." Robert said taking the girls hand and walking towards the carpet.
"Oh so you will go with him but you wont go with us." Said Sarah half joking half serious.
"I have to," said Erin " its Robert Downey Jr!"They both stepped out onto the carpet together, hand in hand and Erin realised that it wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. People where shouting and lights were flashing at her but if she focused on walking and smiling and trying not to fall over then it didn't seem half as bad as she thought. Her and Robert posed for a few pictures before walking off the carpet and towards the cinema. As they stood outside the doors waiting for Sarah and David to meet them, they where talking.
"Do you have a dad?" Asked Erin invasively.
"I did, he's not a very good dad though." Robert answered truthfully.
"Oh, I don't have a dad, maybe you could be my dad!" Erin said excitedly.
"I would love to be your dad Erin, but only if you are comfortable with me being your dad." Said Robert with a small smile. Sarah and David finally joined the two and they started walking into the cinema.
"Come on dad, you can sit next to me!" Said Erin excitedly dragging Robert into the empty seats and Sarah could only watch and smile, maybe this whole acting thing was a good idea after all.
