Chapter Ten

I climb out of Bella's truck along with Bella just as Alice walks out the house with dad. I gave Bella a curious look. They were laughing. 

"Don't be a stranger, Alice." Dad says as Alice walked down the steps. "Hi ya, Bells, Jules." 

We both wave back at dad robotically as he headed into the house. Alice popped up in front of us giggling and smiling. 

"Your alibi's for the battle is all arranged." Alice says.

"Really?" Bella and I asked.

"I told your father that my whole family is going camping this weekend. So it's the three of us having a sleepover at my house." She explained. "Me and Jasper he likes. Actually, you two and your mates will have the house to yourselves tonight."

"Jasper isn't hunting?" I asked as Bella was a stuttering mess.

"He's hunting right before you head to the campsite." Alice explained before climbing into her car.

I pat Bella's back laughing. We both head into the house. Dad was in the kitchen making a sandwich. I quickly walk over and took a big bite out of his. 

"Hey!" He protested. "You may be pregnant but that doesn't mean eat over half my sandwich Julietta!"

I giggle through my chewing. 

"Anyway, this sister and Jasper I like." 

"Yeah, Alice is great." Bella says awkwardly moving to the sink to wash dishes.

"So, Dad," Bella says. "I was wondering why you never got remarried after Mom." 

My eyes widen at the question. What the hell Bella?

"I don't know." Dad shrugged. "Guess I never met the right person. Why?"

"I thought maybe it was 'cause you, I don't know." Bella mumbled. "Gave up on marriage. But you still think it has value?"

Did Edward? No! Why was I not told of this?

"Sure marriage has value." Dad says looking suspicous. "When you're older. Much odler. Like your mom it worked out great for her the second time. Later in life."

"So you think Jasper and I won't last?" I asked hurt.

"I think you two will you seem made for each other." He says.

"I guess." Bella mumbled.

"You definately don't want to have to get married, because you weren't careful." 

"And that's when I'm out." I say heading upstairs.

Bella and I pull up in the Cullen's driveway. I turned to her before getting out.

"So, how did the talk with dad go?" I asked.

She blushed deep red. "Only way to get out of it was telling him I'm a virgin."

"Are you?" I asked wiggling my brows.

"Yes!" She blushed deeper causing me to cackle.

"Well I'm not. If you can't already tell." I say gesturing to my bump. 

I climb out the truck and headed into the house smiling at Edward before making my way upstairs to Jasper's room. He smirked at me from his bed opening his arms. I grinned climbing into the bed cuddling him.

"Dad had the talk with Bella." I giggled.

"I'm guessin she's very embarrassed." He says.

"You feel it all the way up here?" I asked incredulous.
