Rizzo was walking with his fellow soldiers. It was really cold. The sky looked as if it was about to rain. Rizzo was very tired of fighting and walking. It was too repetitive. He just wanted to go back home and see his wife again. Oh wait. They weren't married. Why? Because soldiers weren't allowed to marry. Why? Because emperor Augustus cares about their feelings and doesn't want them to be sad about leaving their families behind. Or maybe Augustus just doesn't want them to ask for money for raising children. Rizzo was exhausted from walking. Rizzo really doesn't want to do this for another 20 years. If only he could go back home to Sicily...

"Hey, Marcus, why do you look like Marcus Agrippa?" asked Decimus.
"What? Isn't that the guy who built the Pantheon?" Rizzo replied.
"Yeah. Why do you look like him?"

Rizzo had never heard anyone in his life tell him that he looks like Agrippa. He wasn't sure what to respond.

"Yeah, I also think that Rizzo has a striking resemblance to Marcus Agrippa. It's definitely his eyes," the soldier in front stated.

Rizzo nodded his head awkwardly and continued walking silently. . Walking, walking, and walking until it's night. He was starving, cold and worn out. He was also incredibly bored. He had done nothing but walking for the last hours. What was there to do in the forest? Besides from marching endlessly and speaking with comrades.

"So... When are we gonna stop?" Rizzo asked quietly.

"I don't know but I'm starving... I hope we can make a stop soon..." Decimus answered.

"I'm drained from all of this walking... And I'm just a bit scared too. Uh... "

Decimus looked at the left, and then the right. There was nobody in the forest. Or that's just what he thinks.

"Do you think any Germans in this forest?" He asked his friend, with a bit of uneasiness.

"I mean this is German territory so there are Germans. I don't think there's a lot of them in this forest though. I'm sure of it."

Rizzo was smiling as if he was truly believed himself but Decimus could see the uncertainty in his eyes.

And it was right at that moment that Rizzo heard a little noise coming from the trees. What if someone was hiding in there? Well, they were big strong Romans. There was no way a single German could beat them. But what if it wasn't just one German? What if they were plural. Germans... They have always been scary. No wonder the emperor has German guards. Those Germans are scary but the wild Germans... The undomesticated ones who feed off of everything they find and who would tore every single Roman's organs off of their body as if they were fruits hanging from a tree. They are true barbarians. Just thinking of Germans sent shivers down Rizzo's spine. Or maybe he's just cold because of the forest.

The blue sky changed to a sinister grayish color. The condensation of the steam of the water from the puddles and the rivers made the clouds heavy and it started raining. It was already cold enough and now it had to rain. What an awful day.

Decimus looked around. Maybe they should have waited for the rain to go away before continuing to walk through the forest. I guess all he can do is pray to the Gods to let him and his comrades live another day.

"Marcus? Are you sure there aren't many Germans in this forest?" Decimus said with a slight worried expression in his face.
"Uh, yeah I am.." Antonius replied. "But if there's any Germans out there, I think we can kick their asses easily!" Antonius grinned confidently, even though he was definitely frightened. He may sound assured in his words, but Decimus rightfully doubted them. The Germans aren't just little ants they could stomp on. They may be rugged and tough, but so are the Germans.

The weather got worse and the sky got darker. Everyone was tired and wanted to go back already. Walking through a forest during the rain was definitely a bad decision. If Marcus Agrippa were here, they wouldn't have to do this. Marcus Agrippa was an able and diligent general. He would know what to do. He was a very reliable man, who's fidelity to the emperor could not be surpassed. Maybe if Rizzo was more like Marcus Agrippa, he would have been promoted. To be like Agrippa, that's kinda hard. To look like Agrippa, that's something that comes with your blood. Rizzo just isn't Agrippa.

Soldiers often miss their home. Rizzo is one of these soldiers. All the man wanted to do was to go back to Sicily. Instead, Rizzo was stuck in this damn forest while it is raining very heavily. He's been walking for so long. He is drained from all this marching. His hands are colder than a German's heart. His feet were somewhat bruised after he stepped on multiple rocks. His clothing was soaked from the rain. He wasn't the only one. His comrades were in the same state.

"I'm so hungry I could eat a horse." Decimus said.
"NO! Don't eat a horse!!" Rizzo exclaimed. "Leave the horse alone!"
"Calm down, Marcus! It's an expression!"
"Well, it's a dumb expression."
Suddenly, the leaves on the bush near them moved just a bit. It made a little sound and that was enough to scare Decimus. Decimus jumped. He was very shocked.
"Decimus, chill. It's just a bush."
Decimus looked at Rizzo with paranoia and fright.
"What makes you so sure that there isn't a cohort of germans waiting to ambush us?" Decimus whispered loudly.
"We came to put down a rebellion. Of course, there's gonna be Germans. We are soldiers, Decimus. we fight and kill for Rome. What did you expect? We're not camping for fun. Man up, Decimus. "

"YOU SAID THAT THERE WEREN'T GERMANS IN THIS FOREST EARLIER!"
