A is for Anxiety
I wanted to listen to the voices, not the noises.
I saw your name last week and the letters still haunt me.
My heart skips a beat with the fear of you coming back.
It's not fair that you infused me with your fear.
I needed to listen to the speeches, not the noises.
You kissed me in the fall with tea on your lips.
When there were colors stuck in my hair.
I held my breath as you leaned in warry,
Wary of who would see us in post-morning delight.
You never kissed me in the fall with tea on your lips.
When my fear fuels the men that leave me in the cold,
The wind leaves the marks of kaleidoscope leaves
In my hair where you last touched me by the trees.
Skipping its final beat I hope you forget all the times
When my fear fuels the men that I left in the cold.
B is for Bumble Bees
When I saw us at the traffic light
Neither of us knew the light was red.
With the power of turning back time
Should have taken the detour instead.
My locutions were your delusions.
High on my words you built up the nerves.
Asking me on a date sealed our fate.
Date reservations. Were you scared too?
If only I knew the power I had over you,
Maybe I wouldn't have bothered risking anything.
If only you never met me we would be ok.
Cheesecake daydreams and stories left untold.
Lost memories of us when we are old.
If only I had seen where this would go.
Then I wouldn't have stolen all your hope.
The Bumble Bees guided me through all my fear.
I should have known that my sting would kill us dear.
R is for Rain Storm
Every dream slides down like drops on a window.
Thunder only rolls so far before it's swallowed.
Drowning out every rose in the meadow,
The rain claims the Earth, leaving it hollow.
Wishing away the sun was my biggest fault,
But the heat makes me hide my heart in a vault.
U is for Uno
The final straw was the final draw of the flip card.
Reversing all my rehearsing to befriend you.
Skip my turn at your heart and give it away.
Swap your deck with a girl who loves girls
The way I play my cards to break hearts.

PuisiThere are not many poems, songs, stories about the heartbreak. It is always the heartbroken that get all the glory. This is why I decided to write a collection of poems from the heartbreakers perspective.
