"Y'know I was gonna tell you how much of a great cook you were when Frank sent you to my room." I state and Gerard looks at me. I'm not trying to be mean and make him relive the moment, but I just wanted to let him know.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it was better than what my mom ever made for me."

"What about your dad?" He asked and I made an awkward face. "It's okay you don't have to talk about it."

"No, I'll give you the short story. He only saw me every other weekend. He never really cared about me much until he got a girlfriend, so I stopped visiting. If someone else was gonna change his mind about me. What makes him think I want to be around him anymore just for someone I barely know?" I say nonchalantly and Gerard nodded.

"That's an actual normal story from what I've heard from you." He laughs, and I agree. We were chilling on the living room couch when the doorbell rings.

"I'll get it." He moves my legs off from on top of his to go open the door.

"Gee!" He shouts and I turn to look at who it is. A man with dirty blond hair with glasses. What I assume to be his girlfriend, walks in behind him. She has blonde hair as well, and is shorter than both the men standing next to her.

"Y/n, this is my brother Mikey!" I walk over and shake his hand.

"Nice to meet you y/n, but I need to talk to Gerard privately... Why don't the two of you go and chat?" He requests and we nod. I bring her over to the couch as the men go to the porch to speak.

"Hell, this is awkward." I state along with laughing and so does she.

"I know, I don't know why he bothered to make me get dressed for this."

"Well hey getting out of the house these days is a chore, be proud of yourself. I'm y/n by the way." I say extending my hand out to her.

"I'm Kristin," she smiled politely, but I could tell she was having a shitty day today.

"Why don't you an Mikey go on a date tonight? Maybe have some fun doing mini golf or something?" Maybe having fun with Mikey will make her more excited.

"I'll ask him to go on a date with me tonight, thanks for the mini golf idea." We had some more chit-chat and the next thing you know Mikey's ready to leave. I hug Kristin and wave goodbye to them along with Gerard. Acting normal is exhausting.
