11. Strength

Porsche POV

It's hard to feel that it has been five years since that incident. Juno was getting better every passing year. So this year we decided that she should get the training that every mafia family member needs for protection. Big was training her. We thought it would be better if someone other than us two taught her. This will keep her on her toes. Also, Big is not an easy trainer. It will help us not be too attached to her getting hurt while training.

Big started her training by giving her a prep. She understood it well. She understood what had to be done. Maybe she has seen all of us train well. A year or two after the incident, she often came to the training grounds. This gave her an excellent experience to get training now. The training started with coding. Along with Arm, another hacker was needed. Juno had a natural fondness for computers. That made her good with them. The only thing she lacked was when it came to water. All of the other things like shooting or combat, she was getting high scores.

Water is my forte. So I thought I should train her for this. When the time to train came, it was hard to train my own daughter. I couldn't go soft on her and my heart would ache if I went too hard on her. But I decided to go hard on her.

The training started. She was asked to take laps. This itself was hard for her. When I saw this, I forgot that she was my daughter and started training her like I would train any other person. She did flinch the first time I raised my voice. But then she did not show any reaction. She was listening to me well and following my instructions.

That night I was going to her room but I stopped to listen to Kinn and Juno's conversation. Juno complained, " Poh, Pa had to be this bad to me today right?" I could hear her crying. Kinn tried to console her, " Juno, he isn't your father while he trains you. He has to make sure you get ready for any situation. Especially because people in this world often face emergencies. He is doing it for your good." Juno said while sniffling, " I know that Poh. But it still hurts."

Kinn' POV

Porsche and I were in the pool. I knew he was thinking about Juno. Porsche was stubborn yet a very caring human. This always leads him to overthink many things. Also, when it comes to Juno, he is more caring and strict. I wanted him to let go of those thoughts. That is why I started the conversation. " You did nothing wrong. You have to be strict when you are training her. She needs to be trained like that. ", I said. Porsche replied, "I know but it still hurts to see my daughter like that. It's just hard to see her cry like that." I hugged him and said "It's all going to be fine. We are going successfully and make sure she is always able to protect herself and others."

We continued the training for a long time. Juno got used to the strict and merciless side of everyone while they were training her and we got used to the pain every time we had to be harsh on her. I am sure that this is going to last for a lifetime.
