"Vi", my older brother Nick whispered in my ear.

"Yes, Nick? What could you possibly want?" I replied with a groan.

"You gotta get up, you're going to be late," he snickered at my reluctance to get up and left my room.

I got up slowly and went to my bathroom doing my daily routine of a shower and brushing my teeth and hair. I picked out my 'On Wednesdays We Wear Black' tee-shirt and my gray-ish high-waist shorts, as well as my black converse shoes and black Neff beanie.

As I walk downstairs I come to see Nick pouring milk and cereal into a bowl. I chuckle to myself and walk over to the pantry, grab a granola bar and start the coffee brewer to make a pot of coffee. I grab my to-go cup and fill it with the pure black coffee as well as adding creamer and three sugars to make the taste better. I walk over to the door and grab my backpack and violin rushing out into the city.

"Bye Nick!" I yell to him as I rush out of my family's apartment. As I walk out into the city I feel the warm September air. The first day of school was always a very important day for me because it's when I get to see my friends.

This past summer I didn't get to see any of them because my parents decided to help me look at colleges. I walk down the metro stairs and scan my card allowing me to get into the train station. As I wait on the dingy bench waiting for my train to come I grimace at the putrid smell of whatever I moved closer to. I look around at my surroundings and see a stings quartet playing Vivaldi Four Seasons, specifically the winter section, which is my favorite classical song, which I can now proudly play myself. I turn around and see a sketch artist drawing someone, as well as a photographer taking pictures of what seems to be a family.

After getting bored of looking at people I decide to listen to some music. Today I decide that I will be listening to Yellowcard which is a band with a violin in it. This band inspired me to play instruments and follow my dreams of becoming a well-known musician. Around two and a half minutes into my first song my train pulls up early. I keep my headphones on and walk onto the train sitting on the nearest seat. After my Yellowcard marathon I listen to the songs off of the new album from All Time Low.

The train pulls up at my stop and I get off the train. I see my school in view and smile at the thought of my friends. I walk to the front office and ask Mrs. Green for my schedule. Mrs. Green is about forty years old and is as sweet as apple pie. She gives me sweets and candies when I come and see her. She pulls up my schedule and locker information and prints them and then gives them to me with a smile and a "Have a great day Vivienne".

I look around to try and find my friends. After a while of looking I spot Elizabeth better known by Liz or Liza. When she spots me she motions me to come to her. When I get to Liza she pulls me into a big hug and squeezes me tightly.

She squeals, "Vi I haven't seen you in forever!" emphasizing on the word forever.

"I know Liza, but you know how my parents think of college, they like to control my life." I exclaim thinking of all the occupations my parents want me to be, like a doctor or a lawyer.

"Hey have you seen Rachel?" I questioned.

"Nope, but have you seen your schedule?" Liza asked.

"No I have not but we can look now!" I say while pulling out my schedule and start reading off the period number, subject, teacher, and room number.

"Period 1: Honors Calculus; Mr. Knowles, Room 1356,

Period 2: Psychology; Mrs. Wilson, Room 2003,

Period 3: AP Chemistry; Mr. Moore, Room 1745,

Period 4: AP English; Mrs. Brown, Room 1989,

Period 5: Lunch,

Period 6: French Four; Ms. Richardson, Room 1223,

Period 7: Honors Orchestra (Advanced); Ms. Wood, Room 1492, and

Period 8: Health; Mr. Jones, Room 1969."

"Well it looks like we have psychology, lunch, French, and health together," Liza said after listening to me say my schedule.

As I start to look around for my other friend Rachel someone jumps onto me. I shriek at the unexpectedness and turn around to see a giggling Rachel. I push her playfully and she just giggles more.

"What's up homeslice?" Rachel asks after she has calmed down.

"Nothing much actually," I replied with a smile at the nickname.

"Guess what! Dylan Mavrik is back," Rachel gossiped to Liza.

"Oh my gosh why is he back?" Liza asked.

"What are we talking about?" I asked confused. They continued to talk as if I wasn't even there. When they finally stopped and looked at my confused face they started to explain.

"That's right, you don't know who we are talking about," Liza said, "By the way we're talking about Dylan Mavrick, he left after softmore year because he supposedly put someone into the hospital, but I wouldn't believe the rumors, after all high-schoolers get most things wrong."

"Come on we've got class to get to," I reminded them both, getting their attention immediately. 'Another year in hell awaits us' I think as I walk through the mass of sweaty teens, wishing for the day to be over already.

A/N: This is my first proper story so I would appreciate CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. MAY I REPEAT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. I've seen so many people get hate on their stories so I'd really appreciate to keep the comments about my story nice, so I look forward to reading them. I do plan on updating weekly but that schedule may change as my finals are coming up, and the fact I do have a life outside of Wattpad.

Can I have for the next chapter:

1 vote, and 1 comment. I will post even if I don't get this but it would be a dream come true if it happened.

Love you my little Peter Pan's.

See you in Neverland.

p.s. the video at the top is Antonio Vivaldi's composition of the Four Seasons Winter
