I saw a few more people had read Gaurdian so I thought I would put up another chapter to it. Thanks to all who took the time to read or at least look.

“Of course dear I think you need a break to. You’re already working harder than most of the students twice your age and passing better than them to.” Mrs. Tin chuckles the polite little old lady laughs. After being in there over an hour I finally got the O.K from the headmistress of our college to let me go and “explore” as both she and Avery put it.
“Thank you Mrs. Tin. I guess I will see you in two weeks.” She nods and waves like a little old lady from the south. I gently close the door then walk to my locker. The bell rings and I just stand there. Avery comes running up to me and I’m almost afraid she’s going to take me to the ground but she manages to apply her brakes just in time.
“So what did she say?” I watch her bounce up and down without stopping thinking this girl has way to much energy.
“She said I was super smart and she would see me in two weeks.” Her squeal rings throughout the hallway causing people to stop and stare.
“What are you looking at? Never seen a girl be excited before?” I just chuckle and drag her out to the parking lot.
“So do you know where you’re going?” I shake my head.
“No I have a few places in mind. But there kind of out in the woods with no people.” Avery grimaces. “Yikes. Not good for you. Um what if you took someone with you?”
“Wait you're going somewhere?” I jump and almost fall but Noah catches me. I chuckle nervously, if he finds out about this he might not let me go.
“Uh yea I’m taking a vacation from school.” I run my hands through my hair, a habit for when I’m nervous. He digs his shoes into the dirt.
“Well where are we going?” Shock floods my system as I analyze his sentence.
“We?” He just nods and looks at me like I’m stupid.
“You didn’t think I would let you go alone did you?” I just scoff.
“Noah I don’t need a babysitter.” During our conversation Avery had slipped away. Great now I had no one to back me up.
“I won’t be a baby sitter. Just think of it as much needed alone time.” I can feel myself giving up. Well who wouldn’t. Noah is tall dark and definitely handsome. He smirks as he realizes he’s won.
“So prince charming where should we go? I’ve got two weeks before I have to return.” He just smiles like the cat that got the cream, “I’ve got the perfect place babe don’t worry your pretty little head about anything I’ll take care of it all.”
“This is your idea of a good place to stay?” I look at Noah with a mix of fury and worry.
“Well it has character and in my defense I remember it ….. different.” I snort,
“well I would hope so. Noah I don’t think it can the floorboards can hold us, the roof looks like it will leak and the cab driver already left.” I sit on my bag and Noah does the same.
“Hey don’t worry we will stay here for a night then leave in the morning and go to… Florida or something how about that?” I look at him and smile.
“As long as you don’t try to make me sleep in another place like this then fine.” Noah gets this dopey look on his face and goes into the house if you can call it that to try to get things ready. I look up at the two story monstrosity in front of me. Noah said his family used to come here when he was little but to me it doesn’t look like any one has been here in over ten years. It looks like a house right out of a scary movie. All its missing is the strange backstory and a murder. A chill sweeps over me and I feel a little bit better knowing my brothers here despite his extreme dislike of Noah.
“Watch your back.” I just swat at the air until Lucas leaves. I don’t need his creepy warnings today, it’s already been bad enough.
“I don’t trust him” I sigh
“Lucas go away.” I hear the door open.
“O.K babe I chased all the roaches out.” I turn to glare at him but inside I’m thankful he hadn’t been there only a minute sooner. He just laughs
“Just kidding they weren’t roaches. They were mice.” I turn and look wistfully back at the road wishing the taxi driver would come back for me. Noah just closes the door and goes back inside. I start to walk under my house but not before talking to Lucas one more time.
“If I catch anything you better haunt him and his kids and his kids, kids.” My only response is an echoing chuckle.
