3rd Person POV:
"Happy Birthday Y/N!"
You were today's star in your family because it was your 18th birthday. For the entire day, your family took you out to different places before coming home. Once you got home, you were met with a surprise party thrown together by your best friend Jihyo.
"Aish, what's all of this for?!" You asked. Streamers and confetti went everywhere and you couldn't help, but notice that Jihyo was all smiles.
"It's your birthday obviously! Now enough questions! Let's celebrate!"
As per Jihyo's request, you spent the rest of the night partying with Jihyo and the other guests. The party kept going until the early morning hours when the police had to come and eventually shut it down due to the various noise complaints from your neighbors.
Sitting on the steps of your front porch, Jihyo joined you as you two enjoyed the cool night breeze. In the silence of each other's companies, you both didn't have to say anything to know that you both enjoyed tonight.
"Wow..." Jihyo murmured. "So little Y/N is officially an adult now, hm?" She turned towards you and smiled.
"What do you mean by little?" You chuckled. "I'm way taller than you."
Rolling her eyes, Jihyo knew that you knew about what she meant by that. Because you were born two years younger than her, Jihyo was like an older sister to you. Your families had been close-knit and as a result, the bond between you two was created almost instantaneously when you two first met.
"Aren't you excited now?" Jihyo squealed. You looked at her a bit confused and she deadpanned from your lame reaction. "Pabo! Did you forget?!"
Awkwardly rubbing your nape, you laughed a bit, "Uh... maybe." Truth be told, you had NO idea what Jihyo was talking about. Was something special supposed to happen?
"Y/N, what would you ever do without me..." Jihyo sighed in disappointment. Pulling up her sleeve, she showed you her arm that had a harp symbol branded on her wrist.
Your eyes slightly widened as you grabbed her arm and looked intently at the harp symbol. Wanting to know if you had a cool symbol like hers on your arm, you quickly looked down at your arm. There was not a sign of a symbol anywhere on your arm. You were disappointed, to say the least, because you wanted a symbol like Jihyo's on your wrist as well.
"A symbol will appear on your wrist after you meet your soulmate, you know?" Jihyo said. "Because you're 18 now Y/N, you have to look for your soulmate now."
"But how would I do that? There are like a million people in Seoul alone. I can't just run up to every single person and ask if they're my soulmate, you know?"
"Aish, Y/N you pabo!" Jihyo smacked the back of your head. "Soulmates can communicate with you if you draw something on your skin. Anything that you draw on yourself will show up on in the same location as your soulmate."
