My Luggage was on the ground all scatter everywhere, my breath was heavy and the silence was deadly
Some will take a slap as a means to inflict the greater injury of guilt and shame on others but this wasn't the case
I was innocent
This slap stung but worse when I face the person that did this act
After I enter my own home
My angry mother looked at me in disappointment with full of tears in her eyes
She looked like a mess
"M-Mom w-"
SLAP!!!
She struck me again but right on my eye making me winced in pain because the eye is really sensitive to touch
"MOM?!"
I was just confused at this point
She balls up her fist and raises it
I flinch because I thought she was going to hit me again
This has never happened before what made her like this?!
"What's wrong mom, what did I do-"
"DON'T ACT INNOCENT, LIKE YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! WHY...WHY DID YOU HIDE IT FROM ME WAS I NOT TRUSTWORTHY, WHERE DID I FAIL YOU AS A MOTHER?!"
"What are you talking about?! You never failed me, mom, I'm still a good kid-"
"YOU'RE A FUCKING FAGGOT! YOU WERE KISSING ON THAT BOY, I SAW EVERYTHING...oh my god my son, is it because I'm never home?!"
I flinch after my mother called me that venoms word
My throat hurt
"...no"
"THEN WHY?! IS IT BECAUSE YOUR FATHER LEFT US??"
It stung, why was she blaming everything just because of my sexuality
"WHAT'S SO WRONG WITH ME BEING GAY MOM, YES I'M GAY SO WHAT?! WHAT DOES DAD HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING, YOU ARE BLAMING EVERYONE BUT YOU, CAN'T YOU JUST ACCEPT ME?!"
She swung once again but I dodged her hit because she knew she couldn't say anything after that
"MISTER DON'T YOU SPEAK BACK TO ME LIKE THAT! YOU'RE MAKING ME LOOK LIKE A FAILURE MOTHER!"
A tear rolled down my face and I grab one bag off the floor and swung open the front door
"...I guess you are if you won't accept who your son is"
I then ran away with her yelling my name over and over
I just wanted to leave
I never knew she'll react that way, I was going to tell her when I was ready
But now I'm glad she found out because it shows her true colors
