"DAD!"

I sipped my coffee and arched an eyebrow looking directly at him as I was sitting on the couch

"Yes?"

"Kylie won't feed the chickens and it's her turn!"

As I sighed and sat my coffee cup on the table stand next to the couch I sat up from my seat and followed him

He ran outside into the backyard...reveling the piece of land I had bought for my family

He ran into the barnyard and I spotted my six-year-old daughter grumbling while sitting on top of a hay

I couldn't help but laugh since she acted exactly like me

"DAD STOP LAUGHING, it's not that funny now tell her she needs to do it!"

"Now, Benjamin let's calm down and ask why she doesn't want to do it ya?

He puffed his cheeks and started to pout until he turned to his sister

"I-BUBBA is being MEAN!"

I chuckled and went towards her and she spread her hands open for a hug indicating she wanted me to pick her up

"Oh sweetheart how is your brother being mean, you know Princess it is your turn?"

she pouted and her green eyes looked toward her brother's brown ones

"WHY MEAN?"

"I wasn't mean sis! You just need to do it"

I just smiled while I was holding Kylie towards my hip supporting her

That's until I heard a car pulling into the driveway and everyone got quiet

"DADDY'S HOME!!!"

Both of my kids yell so loud that they almost burst my eardrums

Benjamin ran and I let go of Kylie since she kept yelling 'GO'

But if I'm being honest I ran too because I was excited to see my husband

"I'm home, I'm home what have you kids been up to?"

Both my children ran to him and hugged him and I just smiled while slowly going up to him

Meeting his bright baby blue eyes as I kissed him, I could hear the kids 'ew's' but we got used to that

Butters was home.

"Welcome home honey"

He giggled

"I'm Home Ken"

"K-Kenny?"

Dirty blond hair covered most of his forehead...Longer and wavy.

10 years...and his face changed, he has always had an angelic look and it was cleaner than usual but he couldn't fool me with those dark circles underneath his eyes

Am I dreaming? It's like seeing a ghost...but it is him.

"It's been a while"

He spoke differently now, he's changed

"It has..."

silence

"I hope I'm not late?"

"No...the guys have been waiting inside so go right ahead, it was nice seeing you Mr. McCormick now may you excuse me?"
