"My head hurts." Mike said.
"We know," Davy said "It'll be okay."
Mike turned his head to look at him and frowned.
"Davy?" He asked in a whisper.
"Hi, I'm right here. You're gonna be okay."
"I'm sorry." He whispered.
"You have nothing to apologize for." Davy said.
"I didn't mean to."
"Shh, it's okay." Davy said as they got to the doors and into the hospital.
"Oh my goodness," a nurse said, rushing over to them. "What happened?"
Mike looked up at her and smiled.
"Hi," he said happily.
"He...um...hit his head pretty bad, we think," Peter said looking at Mike. "He's been throwing up a lot too."
"Okay," She said "lets get him sitting down-"
Mike sat down cross legged on the ground.
"Not here Mike." Micky groaned.
"Yes, here," Mike challenged with a slight grin.
"Okay, fine," Micky sighed, not wanting to cause a scene. Peter sat down next to him.
"Are we protesting?" Mike asked.
"No Mike, we're sitting down." Peter said.
"Oh. Okay."
"Mike, you know you need to..." Micky started, gesturing to the nurse. "They need to examine you to make sure you're okay."
"Oh." Mike said frowning "but she said to sit down."
"Yes, but that was so she...!" Micky found himself getting frustrated and took a deep breath before he continued. "Yeah, she told you to sit down, you didn't do anything wrong."
"Am I doing something wrong?" Mike asked as he looked at the nurse.
"No sweetie." She said.
"I'm not a sweetie." Mike said.
"Sorry, no Mr.-"
"Dolenz." Mike said.
"Mr. Dolenz-"
"Hey, I'm Dolenz, your last name is Nesmith." Micky said.
"My head hurts." Mike said.
"I know it does," she said, getting on her knees in front of him. "Now, can you look at me, please?"
Mike made an effort to look everywhere but at her.
"Hey, can you look at me?" She asked. Mike shook his head no.
"Why not?" She asked.
"I'm looking at the light." Mike said.
"The light?" She asked.
"Hmm hmm. It's all over. It's pretty." Mike said.
"Just don't go into it." Davy joked, getting an elbow from Micky.
The nurse sighed.
"I know it's bright and the lights are pretty, but I need you to look at me for just a minute. Okay?"
"Hmm, okay." Mike said, rather reluctantly as he turned to face her.
"Hi." He smiled.
"Hello," she said, pulling out a light and shining it in Mike's eyes. He closed his eyes tightly and turned away the instant she did.
