Being vulnerable with people isn't something Louis is used to. He's embarrassed to admit that he ghosted Harry for a couple of days after the date they had at his flat. Louis wasn't good with emotions. The omega has never been good at letting people in because they continuously stabbed him in the back and broke his heart when he did.

He didn't want that to happen with Harry.

Harry was brilliant, talented, and exceedingly gorgeous. Louis wasn't only attracted to the alpha's looks and brain.

However, Louis didn't think he was worth Harry's time.

"He's too good for me," the omega admitted to his work best friend, Zayn.

They were currently over at Louis' flat playing FIFA and drinking beers like they usually do on Saturday nights.

"He's way too good for me, and he deserves someone so much better than me," Louis sniffled, wiping the tears that fell before going back to their game. "I don't deserve him."

Zayn decided to pause the game before turning towards his fellow omega.

"Louis, you are an amazing person," Zayn told his friend, taking the other omega's hand. "Yes, you've had some shit relationships, but no one's relationship is ever as perfect as others think. You need to remember how fucking amazing you are. As an educator, a friend, sibling, and son. Everyone adores you."

"Yeah, that's all good in work and family," the omega sniffled. "But, what if- "

The omega was cut off by Zayn. "You can't think about the what-ifs. But, Louis, listen to me," the other omega insisted, taking Louis' face in his hands so Louis was looking at him. "You are amazing, beautiful, kind, generous, and if Harry can't see it, then it's his loss and not yours. I've never met anyone as infuriatingly perfect as you are."

The crying omega let out a watery laugh, "You're so full of shit. I'm far from perfect."

"Bullshit," Zayn spat. "You may not think so, but I know a lot of others who do."

"Do you think Harry feels the same way about me that I do about him?" Louis asked his friend, wiping his tears. The omega giggled when Persephone came over and licked his face in comfort.

"He would be stupid not to," Zayn replied, picking up his controller and unpausing their game. "Now, let me kick your ass in FIFA."

Louis giggled again while picking up his controller, "you're on."

That night when Zayn left, Louis picked up his phone to call Harry. The omega was scared shitless about what would happen during the phone call, but he had to speak to him.

"Hey Lou," the alpha answered almost right away. "It's good to hear from you."

"Hi Hazza," the omega sighed, rubbing his forehead. Louis could already feel the tears threatening to fall from his eyes. "I'm sorry we haven't talked in a while."

"It's okay, baby," Harry replied softly. When the alpha heard his omega sniffle, he got worried. "Is everything alright, Lou?"

"Yeah, yeah," the omega sniffled again.

"Lou," the alpha scolded.

"I'm scared, Harry," the omega confessed.

"Where are you? Why are you scared? Do you need me to come to get you?" the alpha panicked.

"No, Haz," the omega softly giggled. "I'm at home alone."

"Then why are you scared, baby?" the alpha asked after relaxing.

"Can you come over?" the omega sniffled again. "I don't want to have this talk over the phone."

"Of course," the alpha agreed. "I'll be there as fast as I can."
