Chapter 13

Author's Note: I will be mentioning both the MJF situation & CM Punk's injury in this chapter. Remember that this story takes place around a year or so after what happened at both Double or Nothing & Punk's announcement of him stepping away from AEW because of his injury on Rampage.

For the next couple of weeks, Becky worked her way in the top 5 to qualify for a chance at either the TBS title or the AEW women's world title.

Because she was still relatively new to AEW, the women's world title, now being held by Toni Storm, was not an option. Becky wasn't ready to compete for that title.

The TBS title did make more sense to her though because she saw it as a start towards being taken seriously in AEW as well as a first step towards competing for the women's world title.

While things were falling into place professionally, things were not going well for Becky personally.

While things with Jon were going well due to their friendship deepening after their kiss, it was Seth that had Becky worried.

Their last few conversations concerning Roux hadn't gone well because of Susie sticking her nose in where it didn't belong.

During their last conversation, Susie butted in & boldly announced that she & Seth were having a boy. Becky ended up hanging up on them & cried her eyes out.

Now with AEW at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida for Dynamite & Rampage, Becky was personally feeling down.

As she got herself ready, she knew that she needed someone to talk to about this but didn't know who to turn to.

The one person Becky wasn't expecting to confide in was CM Punk.

The AEW world champion was simply walking by the locker room when he heard some sniffling. He gently knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Asked Becky.

"It's Punk. Is it all right if I come in?" He asked.

"Sure," she said. He then opened the door & was surprised by what he saw.

Becky's eyes were red from crying, & her phone was by her side.

"What's going on, Becky? Are you OK?" He asked gently as he put his arm around her shoulders. She shook her head no.

"My ex-husband. HIs stupid girlfriend just interrupted our phone conversation to brag about how it's an honor for her to have his son," said Becky.

She then spilled her guts to him about what had happened to her that resulted in her being in AEW.

Punk listened sympathetically as she told him.

It was her saying Susie's name, however, that really got his attention.

"Did you say that the girl Colby cheated on you with is named Susie Bates?" Asked Punk. Becky nodded.

"Yeah. Why do you ask, Phil?" Asked Becky referring to Punk by his real name.

"When I was in WWE, I remember there being an intern there by that name when I started my run as world champion," he said.

"Yeah, what about it?" She asked.

"Well, I remember hearing about her fucking several wrestlers, but all of them denied having anything to do with her. I also heard that she had gotten into a couple of fights with some female wrestlers including my wife April," said Punk referring to his wife AJ Lee, who had just had their first child, a boy, a couple of months ago.

"Really? Do you think she's capable of drugging someone to get them to sleep with her?" Asked Becky who had remembered what Jon had said at the Nightmare Factory.

"I think it's possible, but I can't say for sure," said Punk. "I've been out of that place for close to 9 years & have no idea what's going on now except what you, me, & probably everyone else has heard about Max."

Becky nodded. She had indeed heard about the rumors about former AEW star MJF possibly struggling in WWE due to severe creative restrictions imposed on him by Triple H & Stephanie McMahon in order to change him.

However, she wasn't interested in that anymore. She decided to change the subject.

"So how's your foot feeling, Phil?" She asked with a smile.

"Feeling great, Becky.," said Punk with a smile of his own. "The surgery I had really helped, & my rehab went nicely. I know that Jon is itching for a chance to face me again for the title after our unification match, & he'll get his chance again soon."

After getting a hug from Punk, Becky was ready for tonight's Dynamite.

Her match against former TBS champion Jade Cargill went well.

That is until Nyla Rose showed up & threw Becky into the steel steps, causing her to win the match via DQ.

Jade tried to stop Nyla from hurting Becky even further, but she got shoved into the barricade.

Then Nyla lifted Becky up & powerslammed her in the ring apron. Becky cried out in agony.

The crowd booed as Nyla walked away with a satisfied smile on her face, but what she didn't know was that she had just made a huge mistake.

Becky glared at the TBS champion & knew what she had to do.

She was going to get her revenge.
