Everyone from fellow AEW wrestlers to the cameras filming everything for AEW: All Access were all on pins & needles backstage as Jon made his way to the ring for his segment.

For Becky, she was much more nervous then everybody due her being Jon's girlfriend.

She understood how big this night was going to be for him.

Jon was going to be challenging AEW's longest reigning champion to a match that would possibly change everything for the company in more ways then anyone thought was possible.

AEW had been receiving criticism from many both in the mainstream media as well as on social media for allowing Punk's reign to go on as long as it had. Many were even comparing it to Roman Reigns's over 1,500 day world title reign in WWE, which had recently ended at SummerSlam with Drew McIntyre, who had signed a new contract just 6 months earlier, becoming undisputed universal champion.

Now as he got in the ring & grabbed the mic, Jon took a deep breath & did what he did best.

Say what was on his mind.

"For well over a year, CM Punk has laid waste to every person that has challenged him for that AEW world title, & quite frankly it makes me sick," said Jon. "So I wonder to myself is there anyone who can rip that title off his waist? My friend Cody Rhodes couldn't do it. Jungle Boy Jack Perry couldn't do it. Even Kenny Omega, one of the best wrestlers in the world, couldn't do it, & these gentlemen that I mentioned are the best of the best here in AEW."

Becky found herself nodding as she & others like Britt Baker, Saraya, Toni Storm & her husband Juice Robinson, & even Jade Cargill watched from backstage.

"Nervous, Becky?" Asked Britt. Becky just smiled & nodded.

"Don't worry. I am too," said Britt with a smile.

Back in the ring, Jon was smirking. He knew that this was the moment to make his announcement.

"So I stand here today knowing that what I'm about to say might either shock people or make them laugh, but I don't give a damn either way," said Jon. "CM Punk, I heard that you plan to take time off & not be a part of All Out."

That part got the crowd booing.

"Well guess what, you piece of shit, plans have changed," said Jon. "I'm challenging you for the AEW world championship at All Out!"

The crowd roared as he dropped the mic.

Everyone assembled backstage also let out cheers.

Except for CM Punk, who was getting ready for a match later on that night in his locker room. He was fuming.

However, he had a job to do, & he did it, beating Sammy Guevara in a tough 20 minute match.

He then gave his response as soon as he had a mic in his hand.

"Hey, Mox!" Said Punk as those in the crowd chanted his name. "See you at All Out!"

Jon challenging Punk at All Out trended worldwide on social media. Even a few from WWE sent out tweets of surprise over the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Jon found Becky backstage & hugged her.

"You OK?" She asked gently as they held each other close. He just nodded & then kissed her.

Now All Out was coming, & everyone especially Jon & Becky were nervous for it.

Especially Jon.
