Chapter 1: Hand Key Heidi

LEECI'S POV

I groaned impatiently. My controller no longer illuminated and my grip grew loose. Why does it always have to die at the climax? I sighed. Probably wasn't meant to be, but I was literally about to defeat that balalaika. I have plenty of time to ace it, though.

I put down the controller beside me and closed my eyes, letting the bright screen shine upon me. I loved this feeling, I felt kind of satisfied with life. It's like when you spend a great night with your friends and you start to think about the amazing things you did together afterwards. Not that I know what that feels like.

I forced my eyes open and realized how dark my room was, I admired it. I was used to it, too. I always had my lights off for a complete experience, I hate stupid glares. The only light right now was coming from the screen. There was also a faint shine coming from the window, barely noticeable though. Bright, white snow was contacting the cold winter floors outside, the moon light shone, it shone right through my thin, cheap curtains.

I didn't mind. I actually really love my curtains. I love my house. It's my protection.

I slowly lifted myself off the ground. "OOOoOhh..no." I mumbled. My bottom hurt like hell from sitting for so long and my back felt as if it had grown into a curved position. I stretched, on my tippy-toes and approached my PlayStation. I took out the game and inserted another.

Then, plugged my charger into my controller. I sat back down into my usual position and held it. It illuminated once again. I smiled at myself and waited for the home screen to appear.

Since I can't defeat Skei in Operation Zheng, I'll have to transition over to another game. There's this one called Key Hand Heidi 2 where you create things, anything at all. It's my favorite. It was loading.

The game also obviously has a task but after you complete it, you're free. You're free to do whatever you want as long as people don't report you. There aren't many games like that out there, that I know of at least, one reason why I love it.

It's where I make most of my friends because I can freely communicate with people from all over the world. I met my two best friends Yellow and Tech in Hand Key Heidi. I mean, I don't know them personally, just online. They're my online BFFs. To be honest, I think the best time of my life was in there.

I remember telling my friend, Mower, about how I kind of forgot how to run a verbal conversation because I haven't had one in a very long time. Five years actually. I haven't left my bedroom for five years.

The game loaded and I had arrived in my territory. Although Key Hand Heidi has a lot of awesome, skilled players roaming around, there were probably more noobs. All my friends were playing other games so I had to randomly join a player. I hated joining randomly because it usually resulted in either genuine noobs or bothersome 5 year olds.

I finished the task in Heidi last year. I arrived in the territory of a player named MikeLostHisMarbles20. HE WASN'T A NOOB! "Yes!" I whispered to myself.

MikeLostHisMarbles20: Hey stranger ^_^
Leeci1002: hai lol ^.^

His avatar hugged mine. It was a pretty rad avatar, I was jealous. It had sexy looking eyes, an astronaut helmet, a tie dye shirt, no pants and high white boots. My avatar was ordinarily awesome. I had on a rare launch t-shirt that lit up, no pants either, flip flops with socks, star shaped shades, and bangs.

What you wear in Heidi tells others a lot about your personality in the real world. Most of the time. I can hypothesize that Mike has a sense of style, his name is Mike, and that he's either in my age range or older.

Also, I know, my username is really basic and I hate it, my parents picked it out for me. I was about 9 when I first got this system so they thought I wasn't capable of constructing my own username. Pisses me off.

Okay, so they are clearly friends.

What.

OwlKenUrk26: lol cool, you can call me ken
Leeci1002: you can call me lee :)

Okay that's weird. He automatically claimed that we're friends. It didn't bother me but...I don't know. It's cool.

MikeLostHisMarbles20: So what do you guys wanna do ?
OwlKenUrk26: i really need a new outfit
