I wrote to Anjum telling him as well as apologizing for my decision to prolong my stay.

After the attack my brother has gone mad, he is threatening death upon all rebels and all traitors protecting the foreign enemies led by the one we once called our sister, not that this is much of a threat as he as always ruled with death and fear. I am aware of my duty as Queen Consort to be by the side of my King but my brother needs an anchor and Eleanor cannot steady him down so I will stay for a while for I know I will regret it if don’t.

Only Anjum can be understanding but tells me ,well persists  I take care and leave for Rayok immediately if the current events become more dangerous.

I never mentioned  how I was certain of Tamara's presence at the funeral for I know he would have demanded I sail for Rayok and command the Rayokian ambassador to Norland to put me on the first ship as soon as possible. I did not see Tamara but I know she was there, I felt her eyes on me.

We are all gathered in the King’s Privy Chamber with his council with Theo sitting at the head, his wife by his right side, I at his left and the General Sven and the Anderssen twins flanking us. The whole council and representatives of the great Houses have been summoned for the King wants blood.

‘ We cannot let this go unpunished!' Speaks the House of Anderssen. ‘ They attacked the King in his own home. What if they shot him?'

How dramatic, why else would they have attacked him?

'I doubt that was the intention.' One of the reformist Houses, House of Nielsen grandmother Brigitte's birth House speaks, ‘Believe me the Vhanda Warriors are famed for their precision in aim and if they wanted the King dead he would be.'

'It is treason you speak!' Yells another. 'Shall we wait to see what their intent are at the risk of the King?'

'You misunderstood.' Shouts another. 'I believe the Duchess of Armult only wanted us to be aware of presence for we all thought she was long gone by now.'

'I am with House of Anderssen,'
General Sven speaks loudly and proudly. ‘ We have tolerated enough of these surprises and it is time we put things in order.'

What toleration?

'I agree, results have been slow but not this time.’ Theo declares,'This time any man who dares to betray the King will receive a true traitors death, death by being frozen. Men, women and children.'

The declaration shocks me for being bled to death requires being left at a glacier without clothes or food and suffer for hours or days till you let go. How can Theo be capable of such monstrosity and I see his wife flinch.

Grandfather prohibited this execution.

'Take care brother for it is your punishments that have resulted uprisings.' I intervene.

‘ So you will have me do nothing? I cannot let treason go unpunished.'

'As should be but I am saying there is justice and there is revenge. There is ruling and there is dictatorship...'

‘Are you calling the King a vengeful tyrant?' General Sven interrupts me arrogantly.

I do not take the bait, he is simply a general who is the uncle-in-law to the King whereas I am a daughter of a king, sister to a king, wife of a king and mother to a future king, I have no time to waste challenging those filled with self-importance.

‘Brother, you know I mean well and want nothing but to preserve your legacy for your son as he is the future of House of Arnelius and as a daughter of the House I wish it to prosper.' I see I have his attention as his eyes are now softer for he wants to hear me as I am all that he has left from his parents. ' You realize this is more than rebellions against your government and the people have been declaring, 'Long live Queen Tamara!' If you continue on your path and make enemies out of your own people, you will be left out cold. You and your Prince.'
