It's been a few weeks now, and Red son hasn't left his room for the most part.

He's tried to continue his work again but his parents have been pretty hectic about it. They're starting to make him feel fragile. Red son can take care of himself, they don't need to be so cautious! It was an outburst, so how would it be realistic if the same outcome happened? They've also forbidden him to use his powers until they figured something out, but that solution is sure taking its sweet time. Yes, it's not good to know that your powers can now hurt you, but did they really need to protect him like he's delicate? Red son sighed, gazing upon his bandaged hands, a painful and saddening thought flowing through him. He can't say he blames them, it did hurt a lot, and it... Scared him. How is he supposed to react to that? His powers are a threat to him now, and he's just supposed to remain locked up? So many thoughts. He sighed, never in his life did he feel so lost. Wasn't he supposed to be the smart one? He made all those machines, he even made that gauntlet and he can't come up with one theory about his powers? Not to mention that Noodle boy! He can't sit aside while that kid did who-knows-what from afar, he should be allowed to continue working on his machines, do his parents think he'll get frustrated about something and have the same accident again!? Well, it is a possibility, but he'd never go that low! In what world would he get so heated about his machines? He groaned, not having the foggiest idea of what to do in his circumstances.

It's been another few hours, still stuck inside in his room while the bots brought him his requested items, right now he was eating dinner. It wasn't anything special, just a nicely-made salad. Red son has been thinking about his fire a bit more, none of the ideas coming to good conclusions. What if it's dangerous- Yes! It is dangerous! But it hurt him, and it was so painful, he wasn't sure but he knows that his father was burnt by it too! He doesn't want to hurt his family... "What if it happens again?" He says worriedly, having an idea that it will happen again. There's no way around it, it's happened twice! It sorta reminds him of the Samadhi fire, could he have found a way to retrieve it again? No, Red son found that preposterous, it felt different, looked different, and even then the Samadhi fire wasn't hurting him. It must be something else, a different power just below Samadhi, and possibly one that could compete, but that's unlikely. Undoubtedly he was going to hurt them again. "Well, what other option do I have?" He looks down defeated, he's scared, he's dangerous. "I can't have myself hurting them again..." He throws away his dish and begins to think about a possible solution to this, wondering about what he could do. What he should do. He can't just stay inside and rot in his room the entire time, but what is he supposed to do after getting out of his room? Should he run away? And if so, where? It's the only option he has! There's no way that they'd just allow him to leave, they wouldn't understand his actions. "Hm... Okay, I might have an idea."

Red son goes over and opens his wardrobe, he puts on a dark gray jacket and some black jeans, something casual and not attention-seeking. He got himself a duffel bag and stuffed a few of his clothes and necessities inside. Red was going, to be honest, he was afraid of continuing but it's for the best. He had all everything he needed packed, he'll find food somewhere else, but a few snacks and water bottles should do. "I should write them a note too," Red suggested, he didn't want to make it seem that he left out of the blue with nothing to say, his parents deserve to know but he refuses to tell it to their face. "Okay, but how should I write it..?" Red sighs, slouching above his desk. He writes a few drafts in his notebook, he's wasting time but this is necessary, this is important. Once he settles with a draft he turns to a different page and begins writing his note. It takes him a few minutes to finish, he reads through it and finds that it's good enough. He tears the page out of the notebook and lays it on his desk.

He looks at his notebook, he decides to bring it with him.

"I'm sorry, but when the time is right I will come back," He says, "Maybe." Red son waits about an hour, it is now 1:00 AM, he's free to go as long as he remains quiet. Red swiftly makes his way to a window, it isn't the most convenient spot but it's far away from his parent's bedroom, yet close enough and facing the city. Red son opens the window as quietly as possible and carefully slides out from it, landing on a tile roof beneath. "So far so good," He takes a deep breath, gently drifting across the roof and falling to the ground below. "Ack!" Red groaned, dissatisfied that he didn't stick the landing, not like he had much to land on anyway, not even bushes but a pile of leaves! But Red son didn't have time to complain about his escape, especially when he hasn't even completed it. He forces himself to stand up and leave with haste, pushing past the burning pain in his legs, trying to not limp while he ran. It's been another hour already and he's made it to a far-out park in the city, he notices that it begins to rain, lowering his mood even more. He's starting to regret this decision. Red scolds himself, "This was a stupid idea..." He decides to sit on a bench and let his legs have a moment to rest, all that running has made the pain almost unbearable. He pulls up his hood once water starts to drizzle from the clouds, a heavy gray atmosphere drowning his surroundings. He's rather tired but he can't sleep here, he can't risk being seen like this, but of course, someone did see him.

"Red son?" A voice said, and Red immediately recognized it. "Noodle boy!" He scowled, got up from the bench, and became defensive. The other male stepped back, and took a breath, "What are you doing here?" The audacity! "It's none of your concern!" Red snapped back, he can't let the enemy know about his condition! "Well, it's just weird seeing the prince of the Demon Bull King would be out in a park this late, sleeping on a bench," Mk said. "I- I was not sleeping! I was simply relaxing, and really, it is none of your concern!" Red persisted. Mk sighed and tilted their head, Red wasn't sure why but this had infuriated him a bit. "You seriously can't tell me?" He tried again, and Red might as well get this over with! "Fine! I ran away! There!" He admitted, crossing his arms after. This had shocked Mk quite a bit, why would Red son run away from home? "What about you? Why are you here?" Red asked, feeling regret pour in after saying that question. "Oh, I'm not sure, I kinda got lost I suppose?" Mk smiled nervously. Red stares blankly at him, "Okay..?" Red didn't entirely believe that but he shouldn't care too much about it. "Hm, since it looks like you have more to say but it's just not the right time, I could invite you over to my apartment!" Mk proposed, grinning brightly. "Huh? How did you- Ahem, but I'm your enemy! Why would you help me?" Red said, focusing on the more important task at hand. "Because I want to, and it's what heroes do! They do good things!" Mk smiled. Red still had a hard time understanding his words and reason and had very little to process. Then a thought came to him, maybe this can help him out, he could get information and bring it back to his parents! And who knows, maybe he could get help from this, could he learn to control his new ability? As thunder began to strike, Red son had made his mind up. "Fine, you win but only because I purely have nowhere else to go, so don't get any ideas Noodle boy!" He responded, getting pulled into a brief hug. "That's great! You won't regret it!" Mk cheers. "I already regret this..." Red groaned, but felt a tug on his hand and followed Mk in the rain.

Let's see how this goes then. Red son thought.
