Author's Note

To clear up confusion before I continue any longer, any mention of a fire being a different color is not Samadhi Fire! In this story, the flames are something separate and are scaled-down by heat. Red son's fire is blue because it's just insanely hot, like real life! I just needed to say that to avoid confusion! Anyway, you can continue reading with this very important information!

Red son gathered up the courage to get up from bed and plug the vacuum. Surprisingly enough, it was mostly empty, but that might not be such a good thing judging how long it must've been since Mk cleaned his flat. Before he turned on the vacuum he started some laundry and moved a few items, now that the floor was clear of furniture and clothes he can begin vacuuming. He turned on the vacuum and moved it across the floor, and he could not imagine the absolute horror of what he discovered; the floor happened to be so dirty that the floor changed color, a much lighter color behind him after. "My respect has diminished," Red exhaled, not like he had any for him respect before. Red pushed through and finished vacuuming after a few minutes, he finished the laundry and reorganized some of Mk's flat, and now the apartment looked much better than before!
Mk opened the door and was greeted with the clean apartment and an exhausted Red son. "Did you do this?" Mk asked in awe, "Yeah, I didn't have anything else to do and figured you wouldn't clean it on your own time," Red answered, still tired. "You could've slept if you're so tired," Mk said, Red sighed out of annoyance and yawned, "It's already dusk?"  He said in acknowledgment, ready to fall asleep already. "Yeah, it is... Um. I don't want to leave you alone again," Mk started, "But I don't usually get off days though." Red raised himself and looked up at Mk, "Are you insinuating that you don't trust me to be by myself?" Mk stammered, "I- Wha- No! I don't want to leave you alone because I don't want you to feel lonely!" He explained, Red found his stuttering a little cute. Wait, no, he shouldn't think like that, well, it's not like he's a mind reader though! Red pushed his thoughts and picked his words carefully. "Well, if that's the case then I could always take up those therapy lessons with the blue thing," He suggested, still not remembering their name but a good idea nonetheless. "Oh yeah! Sandy did give you that offer! I think you should accept," Mk smiled, "So you agree that I need help?" Red insinuated and couldn't help but chuckle from his joke, and Mk started to feel terrible and panicked, "N-No no-no! Th-That's not what I meant! I-I mean if you really think so but I don't mean it rudely!" Mk continued to stammer until he couldn't form any words and Red busted out laughing, "HAHAHA! It's no big deal noodle boy!" And with that, Mk exhaled out of relief and laughed along with him. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad.

It's the next day, and Red feels a bit more refreshed but his body still ached and he had no reason why. Mk had woke up a bit earlier to get him to Sandy's boat, and once he dropped Red off he drove back to Pigsy's noodles. "This shouldn't be too bad," Red inhaled, a bit worrisome. He didn't know what to expect from this visit, he doesn't even know what kind of therapy it is! The noodle boy could've at least informed him more about all of this! He gathered up his courage and knocked on the door, he shouldn't be so worried, if anything bad happens he has his fire! ...Fire that can hurt him... He was starting to have some regrets now, maybe he should've stayed in the flat? Before he could reconsider, Sandy opens the door and stares down at Red son, and he couldn't help but feel intimidated. "You..." Red son shrunk from their demeanor, immense dread kicking in. "You came in at just the right time for tea!" Sandy exclaimed, lightening the mood a bit too quickly for his liking. Sandy dragged Red in and got him a seat on the couch, a few cats had begun snuggling up against Red son, probably because of his heat but he couldn't help but feel appreciated. "Here you are! Chamomile tea," Sandy gave him a plate with a tea cup sat on top, Red reluctantly took a sip but as time passed the more sips he took, he liked the warmness it gave to his chest, he felt all his stress diminish by the second. "Y'know, after I heard you admit about you needing help, I've been thinking about our visit non-stop!" Sandy took a sip out of his teacup, a flowery ecstasy pouring from him, a very lightening atmosphere between them. "You've been thinking about this visit ever since?" Red repeated, making sure he heard what he thought he heard, "That... That actually makes me feel better about myself," He smiled, and Sandy smiled back. "Sandy, right?" Red asked, he wanted to be as precise as possible. Maybe it was the tea but he wanted to open up, this heavy feeling in his chest was setting too much dread in him, he needed someone to trust, someone to talk to. "Yep, Sandy, that's me!" He exclaimed, his grin lifting his burden but urged him to tell. "I don't know how this works but you make me feel like I can trust you, but I want to know if you trust me," Red started, Sandy nodded in acknowledgement and he continued, "There's something wrong with my fire... It's the reason why I left. It hurt me, my hands have third-degree burns because of it!" He began to choke up, he didn't know why he was beginning to get emotional, it felt strange. "Look, I'm here to help you," Sandy stated, reassuring Red son. "You can promise me that you won't tell anyone?" Red asked, and Sandy smiled, "Of course little man!" And in the heat of the moment, Red pulled himself and hugged Sandy, the embrace was short but it will be forever cherished, he never knew how much he needed this until now.
"Thank you."

Red son hadn't realized the time but he's spent three hours drinking tea and snuggling cats, it's not like he had a problem with it but what happened will never be heard from the light of day, this remains a secret. He's good at keeping secrets, he can continue to hide this, but he did reveal some if not most of his insecurities to 'the enemy' but Sandy seems like a good guy! He enjoyed his time there, even though they're a peasant. After a few minutes Mk arrived in his Tuktuk, yep, he's never telling him about this. "Did you enjoy your visit?" The noodle boy asked, as if he needed to give him an answer but he decided to answer, "It was... Okay." Mk nodded, Red son seated himself in the vehicle and they drove back to the apartment.
