CHAPTER 06 - Wallpaper

"Akari, let's talk for a minute outside" asahi said suddenly as he glance at his phone. The others looked at us confusedly. I nod and we both left, walking towards outside.
He's making me nervous.
"Is there a problem?" I asked as i looked at him, a little worried. He sighs lowly and walk towards infront of me a little closer.
"He's out of prison now. The sentence has finished"
It makes me scared again. After 5 years in jail of attempted kidnapping, i feel so alive. But after all those years, it makes me feel like i need to hide again. He changed, right?
"Hey" i woke up from my thoughts when asahi speak up. He stare straight into my eyes and hold both of my shoulders. "He can't hurt you again, okay? I won't let him go near you. I promise" he said softly and rub my arm gently.
I nodded. "Thank you, asahi"
"Asahi?" Mashiho appears at my back. We both looked at him.
"Mashi" asahi said. He stare at the both of us and cross his arms to his chest.
"You look like you've seen a ghost. What's going on?" He chuckled a little, looking at the both of us. I awkwardly laugh a little and scratch my nape, nudging asahi to tell mashiho.
"Uhm.. let's talk about it later, i don't have any plans yet" asahi said.
Mashiho looks at me confusedly and i shrugs.

Kim Junkyu
"Ruto" I hand him a shot glass infront of him. I looked around as aera and asahi are out of nowhere. Haruto took the glass and drunk the liquor straight, forming a little wince on his face. The liquor is a little strong.
"Haruto, you're still not talking to them?" Hyunsuk asked to haruto, referring to us.
Haruto glance at me.
"He's good with yoshi" i said and chuckles. Yedam chuckled and shake his head a little.
"Ruto, spill it here while they are not here. It must be a burden to keep it on yourself. Don't forget that we're all here to help you" jihoon said, looking at haruto. Haruto looks down, probably thinking.
Jeongwoo pat his back, who's eating snacks and meat.
"It'll be okay" yoshi reassured him, i nod too.
I raised my hand and drink, bottoms up. "First.. i want to say sorry. Way back then, Akari asked for my help because she wants to leave haruto quietly. She wants to disappear because she doesn't want to be a burden to him anymore. Asahi helped her too to find a place for her, a place that is very far from all of us"
Yoshi nods.
"That's what happened?" Yedam asked, as all of them are shocked. Hyunsuk's mouth are wide open, waiting what will be next.
"Then, what did she feel when she left?" Jeongwoo asked.
Haruto's fingers is just playing with the shot glass while looking at it.
I shake my head. "Not really great. In a short period of time, i know she's sad and not very sure about her decision but she still pushed it. She said that time that she'll regret that decision for life. And, akari has something to say for him but i haven't got the chance to deliver that message because he doesn't want to hear me out" i said and look at haruto who's just listening to the conversation.
