Chapter 2

Y/n grabbed a knife from the drawer and set it down on the counter in front of her. Right next to her bagel. She closed the drawer. Then she cut the bagel in half and threw both ends into the toaster. Y/n pushed down on the handle. Just as she did, she felt her phone go off in her back pocket.

Y/n quickly pulled it out and tapped on the message that appeared on her screen.

   Unknown

Hey! This is Saph. I was wondering when you wanted to meet up next? If possible, we can work out a schedule if we meet up today to finish up the assignment from Thursday, but if not it's ok!

Y/n smiled at the message. She changed the contact's name. She then opened the calendar app before messaging Saph back.

   Me

Today works for me! Maybe we can meet up at around 12 at the same café?

Y/n set her phone down onto the counter and went back to making herself a bagel. While waiting for the bagel to be done and for Saph to message her back, she went over to the fridge to grab some cream cheese. She set it down on the counter, next to the toaster.

Y/n instinctually picked up her as she stood there waiting for her bagel. As she did so, she noticed that Saph had messaged her back. She excitedly, not too excited it's still school work, tapped on the message that popped up.

   Saph

That's great! See you at 12 :)

Y/n smiled at the text. She set her phone down to finish her bagel. She pushed up on the lever of the toaster to make it slightly easier for her to not burn herself. When she picked up one of the halves of the bagel, she immediately threw it down on the plate in front of her, realizing how hot it actually was. Repeat for the other one and she ended up with two slices of nicely toasted bagel.

Y/n happily grabbed the knife of earlier and opened the container of cream cheese. She smeared the appropriate amount on, which some might say is too much. But what's the point of eating a bagel with cream cheese if the ration isn't 1:1.

Y/n tossed the knife into the sink and the container back into the fridge. She took the plate of deliciously toasted bagels with her as she walked into the dinning room to eat while scrolling through her phone, which was in her other hand.

Y/n hurriedly walked down the stairs with a pile of clothes in her arms. She knows that she promised herself to do them Thursday and it might be Saturday, but to be fair she had some very important things to do. Like ignore all her life problems to watch her favorite TV show that just happened to come out with a new season, it's not her fault that it came out then.

But now y/n really had to do laundry besides the bare minimum to get by. Spraying down each outfit in a load of scented deodorant was getting kind of old. Not that she didn't like smelling like a perfume shop every day. Though the people around her would hold a different opinion.

So here she was running around the house with her favorite clothes in her arms. Hoping to wash them before she had to leave to meet up with Saph.

Once she reached the laundry room, she quickly threw the things in with some soap before turning it on and going back to watching her show. She still had a few hours to kill before she had to meet up with her. Plus, what else was she supposed to do while waiting?
