I stare at Arceus with disbelief. Me… the strongest Pokémon in the world… related to these… HUMANS!  Just the thought of it disgusts me!  The blood of these filthy humans coursing through my veins.  I shudder, suddenly feeling tainted… contaminated with their vile DNA.  How can this be?  How is this possible?  I am a Pokémon-human hybrid?  I am… an abomination.

Arceus seems to be reading my thoughts, yet I cannot feel it.  It looks at me with sad eyes, as if my thoughts have offended it.  I care not, for my plight is far worse than hurt feelings.  I am not a Pokémon anymore.  I am neither human nor Pokémon.  I do not know what I am anymore.

*Mewtwo,* Arceus calls to me.  I look up at it, anger in my eyes.  *Do not despair.  Humans are wonderful creatures, despite their flaws.  Their ingenuity is their biggest contribution to this world.  They work well alongside Pokémon.  They co-exist.*

I glare angrily at Arceus. *Humans are a pestilence upon this world,* I say.  *A plague that destroys everything they touch.  They do not work alongside Pokémon.  They enslave them and force them to fight each other for their entertainment.  Pokémon should be free.*

Arceus turns his gaze to the moon.  *I admit I should not have created them,* it says.  *It was not my place to create life and they have done some bad things, and for that, I am imprisoned here. But I can see they have done a lot of good in this world, and they will continue to do so.  Are Pokémon so innocent?*

*What do you mean?* I ask.

*Some Pokémon kill others,* Arceus explains.  *Should the Sharpedo stop eating the Magikarp?  Should the Mareanie leave the Corsola alone?*

*That is different!* I argue.  *They kill for food.  Humans kill for sport.*

*Exploud creates earthquakes with its voice, which can injure or even kill other Pokémon,* Arceus says.  *Dusknoir takes Pokémon souls to the spirit world on a whim.  Then there is Giratina, one of my first creations…*  Arceus trails off.  I detect regret and sorrow.

I ponder what Arceus has said.  It, unfortunately, makes sense, and I hate it. To think these humans actually belong here and fit in, and I am part of… THEM!  I suppose it is not all bad.  I was given this power, more power than any other Pokémon and human, and now I begin to wonder if I have more than Arceus.

*So you created humans,* I begin, *and Mew created Pokémon.  But then… who created you?*

Arceus takes a deep breath.  *The true Creator… that honor is bestowed upon the Unown.*

*The Unown?* I ask.  *What is the Unown?*

*The Unown are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,* Arceus explains.  *They always have and always will be.  For eternity, they have existed, and for eternity, they shall exist. They are the true Creator.*

*The Unown…* I whisper.  *What else do you know about them?*

Arceus shakes its head.  *Even I do not know much about them.  After they created me, they left me to my task.  I only saw them again once more, after I created humans.  Ever since, I have been confined to this tower to watch over my creation. For a while, the humans stayed with me, but they multiplied and grew violent, fighting over the little land around here.  I implored Mew for assistance, and together, we created Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit to guide them.  They learned and left the tower, growing intelligent and prosperous. They have not lived here for thousands of years.  I am alone.*
