Shinra had a secret that he's never told anyone, a secret that he believes would ruin everything if they found out. But in all honesty, it wasn't that bad.

Shinra woke up in a cold sweat panting as his eyes began to adjust to the darkness around him.
He was yet again plagued by a 4 am a nightmare.
After catching his breath he stumbled down the ladder and hobbled into the shared bathroom.

He tore his clothes off and frantically started the shower. He found that it was the only way he could decompress after those types of nightmares. He tried to forget about it but the images continued to creep into his thoughts.

It was as if he was being transported between two worlds. One moment he was in the shower and then all of the sudden he was in a black and white maze running for his life. Shinra's breath began to quicken. He couldn't keep track of his thoughts, and clutching his head he slid to the ground.

He was confused and his world was becoming distorted, was he here or there, and who was chasing him? Why is it so loud yet so quiet? Why is it black and white? And now it's too hot but yet too cold "Where am I? Please I need help! Am I alone? Is anyone there? Can anyone hear me?" He thought.

Shinra curled into a ball tugging on his hair. Whimpers became audible as soft tears fell to the tile floor. "Please help me, please help me! Anyone please!" Then it all stopped; all he could hear was the running water from his shower. He looked around at the familiar surroundings, tired and confused.

Panting he dragged himself up with shaking legs and leaned against the wall letting his heart slow. Then he reached for a small bottle of body wash, and unscrewed the cap, tipping it over, letting a silver object drop into his hand.

Shinra brought the small blade up to his bicep and heavily dragged it across his skin, immediately he was hit with a wave of serotonin. Closing his eyes he let out a sigh of relief and a shaky smile spread across his face. "Just another 4 AM nightmare," he thought.

It was around 5:30 when Shinra had finished getting ready for the day. Then suddenly he heard the door open and watched a stumbling captain obi emerge. Morning sir Shinra said, saluting him. But all he got in return was a grunt as obi started the water

Shinra just shrugged it off and exited the bathroom. It was nearly six now when the rest of the team had emerged. At this point, Shinra was already in the kitchen prepping for breakfast in hopes this would make Maki sans task a little easier.

"Uhh. . . Shinra?"

Speak of the devil he thought." Morning Maki san," Shinra said, barely giving her a glance. " I woke up early today and thought I would help out in the kitchen a little." He said monotonously

"I really appreciate it but I think I can handle it from here." She spoke, giving Shinra a small smile.

"No problem I completely understand." The devil spoke bowing before exiting the kitchen. He made his way to the table and quietly seated himself. Shinra began to get lost in his thoughts as he sat there staring intensely at the wall. It wasn't until captain obi put his hand on Shinra's shoulder that he was pulled out of his trance.

"Mornin devil,"

" O-oh good m-morning captain! I didn't notice you there." Shinra spoke as he began to get up and salute the captain

"There's no need for that," Obi said gently, pushing Shinra back into his seat. " I sorta figured since you didn't salute the second I came into the room," Obi said sitting down at the table. "Is something on your mind?"

For a split second Shinra thought about saying something to the captain, but the moment he rubbed his hands along his wrist he dismissed the idea.
"Just thinking about the yummy food Maki San is making, I can't wait to try it!" Shinra said with slight enthusiasm and a small smile on his face.

Captain Obi shook his head as a smile stretched across his face."Of course, you were!" He chuckled, "I shouldn't have been so worried." Captain Obi then turned his attention to the presence of Arthur who was now in the room. "Good morning Arthur! Did you rest well?" He said as the supposed "knight" joined them at the table.

Maki brought in the freshly cooked meal that was already mostly prepared before she came in this morning. The smell of warm fresh pancakes wafted through the air filling the room with a sense of calming security.

"It was fairly restful sir," Arthur began as he filled his plate as well as everyone else."Although, I awoke in the middle of the night due to disturbance from a certain devil," Arthur said glaring at Shinra.

Shinra's face grew red as he began staring holes into the table.

"What do you mean by disturbance?" Captain Obi asked, sparing a glance at Shinra.

"If you must know, the devil wouldn't stop moving around in his bunk. He was shaking the bed all night!
Then, he decided to be an early bird and get up before sunrise to start getting ready. What kinda person needs that much time to get ready!" Arthur said dramatically and glared at Shinra.

Captain obi gave Shinra a suspicious glance and began to speak but was surprisingly cut off by a stuttering boy.

"I-im sorry Arthur I didn't mean to k-keep you up all night!" Shinra said, waving his hands defensively as sweat began to drip down his face. " I just couldn't sleep last night, I was too fidgety! You know how it is, right?"

"Yeah I get like that too sometimes, and if you ever need to talk just let me know." Captain obi said sympathetically. But Shinra knew he was hinting at something.

"Well I'm going to go workout, if you need me I'll be in the courtyard," Shinra got up and headed out without a second word briskly making his way outside.

"He didn't even touch his food..." Arthur remarked

"Yeah I noticed," Captain Obi grabbed his and shinra's plates and made his way to the kitchen. "Shinra I'm worried about you, why won't you talk to me?" Obi dumped the untouched food into the trash and set the dishes in the sink.

"Ahh! Huf huf, Ahh!" Shinra was punching and kicking the practice dummy left and right at such speeds it was almost too impressive. Sweat dripped down his face, splattering and dissolving quickly as it hit the concrete floor. But the boy didn't stop, no matter how tired he looked he kept going. He hit his high, and wasn't going to stop.

As captain obi headed back to the mess hall he glanced in out the window and in the distance he saw an orange blur moving at intense speeds. "Shinra," he muttered. He sat back down to join the rest of the team who had already arrived and began digging into the amazing meal that was prepared by Maki.

"Where's shinra?" Iris asked

"Yeah I haven't seen the devil at all this morning?" Tamaki remarked

"He's outside training," Obi said, a little concerned.

"Oh that's quite unusual," Hinawa chimed in "Especially so early in the morning."

"I don't think it's odd, he has been trying really hard to improve lately, especially since he saw his brother." Iris said trying to sympathize

"I guess so, but isn't it a rather warm day today, I would hate for him to overwork himself" Hinawa stated

"I think it's fine the devil seems to have endless amounts of energy," Arthur said carelessly as he helped himself to some more food.

"I guess you're right." Iris said, taking a small bite.

"Rahhh!" One punch *Devil* three punches "rahhh!" *You killed them* a punch and a kick "ahhhhhh!" One fired swift kick *Your family* Crumbles to the ground, sweat and tears dripping and dissolving " it's my fault they died, they were always right I am the Devil.
