Devil Episode 4

Swiftly they arrived at the scene of the flames. It was horrifying; people screaming and running out of the skyscraper with shrilling cries echoing all around.

"My son! My son! Somebody please help my son!" The woman screamed as her sweater hissed under the trickling rain. If anyone had to guess it was her son that was the infernal.

Ashes began to join the rain as the clouds turned amber. Obi took the first step forward twords the tower of glass, as Maki and tamaki followed. Arthur was feet behind them but shinra still stood staring. Images of times before surfaced as he was surrounded in flames. Laughter and devilish smiles rang as his breath quickened.

"Don't freeze up now Devil," a low voice spoke. Amber clouds and billowing smoke filled his sight as the man with rectangular glasses, laid a hand on his shoulder. " I know it's hard sometimes, but you have to stay on your feet. It's our job to protect those who can't protect others." Hinawa released his grip and began to move forward.

"Yes sir." A smile reached shinras eyes as the water splashed under his feet. Smoke began to fill his lungs as he entered the office building, and ash raining from the sky and a hazy fog was all he could see. He then took the first steps into hell.

The crackling flames were daunting and the sharp smoke filled his lungs. "Shinra and Maki you stay down here while the rest of us split up and take the upper floors." Obi commanded.

The team followed command and shinra watched as everyone left. Maki and shinra began to venture into the ashen abyss. The smoke thickend as they squinted there eyes in hopes it would somehow help their sight improve. "I don't think he's down here."
Maki San croaked. "Should we go upstairs?"

"No, he's down here," shinra stated. "I'm sure of it."
Shattered glass exploded toppling shinra over and throwing him across the room. "ahk-" the wind escaped his lungs as he slumped forward.

Devilish cries echoed through the hall as flames engulfed the burning being. It shrilled a blood curdling screem before charging at Maki. "Shit,"
Maki cursed "c'mon shinra I could really use your help right now!" She yelled at him as flaming cat ears and a tail burst out of thin air. Maki shifted her stance ready to doge the infernal. The infernal was closing in on her fast about a yard away before something changed. A burst of flames shot out from behind the infernal as it Gained speed rapidly. 5ft 3ft 1ft... flash

Blue light filled the hall as the screeming disipated
The entire side of the building began to crumble. "What the fuck is happening?" Maki huffed. Smoke began to disolve as a figure began to approach her . Shinra came into view as he hobled towards Maki holding the left side of his body. Blue flames surrounded his feet and with each step he took they got smaller.

Huffing he spoke, "you need to get out of here, the whole place is coming down." He said as blood dripped down his arms.

"Wha-what about you?" She said as sweat dripped down her face.

"Someone's got to go find the others." He said straightning up. ,"And I'm the only one fast enough to do it. And without another word the orange flames returned as shinra shot up into the smoke.

Blood started to dissolve from the rapid rise of temperature as he descended further into the ashin air. He quickly stumbled upon Arthur Obi and Iris sweeping the 3rd floor. He landed on the railing in the hallway. And said "Captain! You need to get out of here Now! The place is about to collapse!"

Obi looked at shinras arm as blood continued to drip down his hand and seep through his coat. He then swiftly started barking orders " Arthur you take iris and head back shinra and I will -"

"Captain there is no time! Get out of here before it's too late!" Fire exploded from shinras feet. And with a stern gaze he blasted further into the smoke. The captain anxiously stared at that fading light then grabbed Arthur and Iris and swiftly navigated out of the building.
