"Sister!" The boy called out, merely 7 at the time. "Why must we run...?" He muttered, trying as such to catch up to her.

He didn't understand the cruelty that was to come by the life of living with such a person as Dahlia was.

How could he understand at such an age?

Niklaus pulled away from Kol's head, both gasping, he leaned against the wall as Kol brought his legs to his knees.

"So you can't just keep my word for her cruelty?" Kol sneered at his two elder brothers.

"Kol, when I went into your mind earlier I saw you throwing a bomb of power at many innocent people" Kol just smirked at Elijah's comment.

He smiled "It was a social experiment." He shrugged "However this," motioning as to what was happening, "Is not."

"I believe it's my turn?" Rebekah glared at all three of them, before she put her hands to Kol's head.

"Where's Freya?! Where did you put her?" Kol asked frantically, he seemed close to tears.

Dahlia sneered back "That girl-"

"That girl is my sister and you put her away!" He raises his hand and then Dahlia pushed him against the way with a snap of her finger, "You would dare try to hurt me?"

Kol began groaning out in pain, screaming as tears fell his eyes.

Elijah pulled Rebekah from Kol as soon as he saw the the boy curl into a ball, crying. Rebekah looked over towards the brother she never knew, he just seemed so broken.

"He hides underneath a mask, built with the pain he felt." She began, looking as Niklaus showed his tenderness towards the boy, rubbing his back.

He stood to look at the two other in the room "Leave him be for today." and so they did.

Day after day, Kol remained to not leave the room he had been given, unlike the other allies they had once had. It had been over 1,000 years, they know not the pain or suffering he had faced.

But Rebekah knew she had seen him before. Sometime in the 1500s, even at the 1914 Christmas Ball, he had shown with a women, regally put up blonde hair, she was beautiful.

Rebekah could assume that the women was Freya, he spoke of her with grace, love, kindness he had yet to shown them. Even Niklaus had complimented on the two, tried to befriend them, that was until Freya had hurt Niklaus precious Lucien and Marcel.

Elijah thought similar of the matter, of how a time in the late 1700s, a man who seemed familiar befriended him. Elijah now knew this man as his little brother. He felt this slight pain of not recognizing his baby brother immediately, not knowing it was the boy that had once curled into Elijah on a cold night when he was merely 4.

He remembered the day after Kol had been taken, how the cries stayed in his mind throughout the night. Rebekah didn't understand where Kol was at the time, she was begging for him for days upon end.
