Another day in an asylum, and still can't get that girl out of my head. Julia. Gorgeous, yet mental. I have to find out why she is here, I can't keep wondering about her all day. I haven't seen her yet, and its been about 2 hours since I pulled into the guarded gates at the front. I have to find her. I've been looking everywhere for this girl. I asked he nurse that yelled at her the other day, but she ignored me and walked away. I don't think she likes me, especially not after I was having a conversation with an inmate outside the asylum.
Now is my chance, its time to deliver medication.
Walking with a tray full of different sizes and shapes of pills being held in little plastic cups, I have to make more than one trip though, I can only fit so many. Handing the inmates their medication through little slots in the heavy gray doors. Each cup has the inmates cell number on them, but sometimes it can get complicated. I read files, so I know what medicine each inmate needs. Then place the sticker on each cup, very careful not to mess it up.
I see her. I see her through the small and grimy window of her door. She's sitting, biting her nails and staring at the floor. I also see the blood splatters on her sheets, and tufts of red hair on the ground.
"Julia? I-I have your m-medication." I stuttered
"Leave it there, and go away. I'll take it when I need to." She said
"I can't leave unless I see you take it. Are you ok? Is anything wrong?" I asked her, feeling very worried.
She stood up, and stomped towards me, grabbing the cup. She gulped them down dry.
"I'm fine, just tired. So tired." She said "He should let me sleep, why wouldn't he? I know I..." She drifted off topic. She was talking, but it wasn't to me. She was talking to someone else.
"Julia?"
"Go! Just please..." She drifted off, again, and was looking behind her and all around. Pointing to things. Now I understand why she is in here.
"Ok, fine, I'll go, but I'll be back later." I told her with a smile, then walked away.
I started to search for her file again, when I read it the first time I didn't really read that deep into it. Now of course, when I'm looking for it, it isn't anywhere in sight. Found it. Julia Simmons. I start to read.
As I'm reading, my boss comes bursting into the door.
"Sorry Vincent, didn't mean to scare you!" He laughed
"Is something wrong sir? Can I help you?"
"I need you to help a patient, she only wants to talk to you, and won't talk to anyone else. Come with me."
I can only hope that he is talking about Julia, so of course I follow.
