She smiled softly when the door opened and her boyfriend arrived from the convenience store. She told him that she was craving for a very cold blue lemonade and she also instructed him to buy it from the local convenience store nearby. She carefully sat up on the hospital bed and took the huge cup he was handing over. He also bought a cup of buttered corn and ham and cheese sandwiches. He fed her a spoonful of buttered corn and her smile went wider.
"Thank you, love. Do you want some?" She said as she offered her cold blue lemonade. He nodded and she let him have a sip. He opened one of the ham and cheese sandwiches and gave it to her.
"I heard from Kazuma that he couldn't see Lauren this time. I don't know what happened though. They were fine before the accident." She said before taking a bite. He took the cup from her and placed it on the side table.
"Angel, I think their families are still in a feud. Kazuma's grandfather enrolled him in a university from another country." He said quietly and she let out a sigh. He rested his head on her lap and she put the sandwich down before caressing his hair.
"Can you call for the doctor, love? I want to go home now." She whispered and Sho looked at her worriedly. She left a quick peck on his lips and he let out a sigh this time. He stood up from his seat and went out for a while.
The doctor finally arrived after an hour. It seems like she will have the remaining medication at the mansion. Sho processed the medical bills and papers and then, the doctor let her get discharged. Makoto already brought out her things and put them in the car compartment. She was still a little weak to move but she was able to get inside the car without any help. She held tight on her twin brother as she felt suffocated. Her vision started to get hazy and she could remember everything that happened during the accident.
"Sho.." She mumbled, feeling her head breaking in half as she got cuts from the shattered car windows besides her. She kept on mumbling his name until the door on the driver's side opened. She tried to focus her gaze on the driver but he wasn't moving anymore.
"Uncle..?" She called for him and she felt a movement on her right. It was Gia. She reached for her arm but the older one was too focused on the driver. A few seconds later, she slowly lost her consciousness while the older one witnessed how the culprit killed their driver.
"No.. Riku.. help. Riku!" She cried helplessly while watching the blood flow out from the slit on the driver's neck. She kept on screaming for his name until she lost consciousness before the three men could rush to their side.
"Gia! Princess, you're having a nightmare." Riku woke her up and she quickly reached for him. She cried silently and he hugged her tight while caressing her hair. It has been a week since the accident happened and within that week, she kept on having the same nightmares.
"It was my fault. It was my fault, Riku." She cried softly and he shook his head. She already gave her statements on what she had witnessed and everything was being handled by the authority.
"It wasn't your fault, Princess. You did nothing wrong." He tried to assure her but she shook her head as she believed that it was her fault that she did nothing to save the driver from the culprit. He wiped her tears as she kept on crying hard.
"What if I'm next? What if I'm the next one to die?" She suddenly asked and he clenched his fists tight. As if he will let that happen. He was right with his decision to stay with her instead of going to another country to study.
"That will not happen. I'm here to protect you. You're my girlfriend and my soon-to-be fiancée. I will not let someone lay a finger on you." He cupped her cheeks and she slowly nodded while sobbing. He kissed her forehead and she finally felt safe in his arms.
"Riku, stay with me.." She whispered and he made sure that his appointments for that day will be handled by his assistant for the meanwhile. He sang a lullaby for her until she could fall asleep once again.
He felt his phone vibrating, so he sat on the couch before answering the call. It was one of the private investigators that Kazuma hired a few weeks ago and it seemed they still don't have a lead towards the culprit. They only have two days before they start attending Royal University but it looks like they will not be able to enjoy the first day of classes. He stared at Gia's sleeping figure and took a few photos of her before smiling like a fool. He left a few more kisses on her forehead and then, he changed his phone wallpaper with her photo.
Gia stirred from her sleep once again but this time, she felt warm and light. She found Riku sleeping beside her with his arm around her waist. She smiled softly and caressed his cheeks. She gently kissed his lips, making sure that he would not wake up because of it. She blushed faintly, remembering how she lost her first time to him. She moved closer to him and snuggled between his arms.
"Thank you, Riku." She whispered before burying her face on his chest. She felt his hug getting tight. She looked up and found him awake. He held her chin and he leaned his face closer to kiss her lips deeply. She shyly accepted his kisses until it happened for the second time.
"I love you, Princess." She heard those words countless times from him but it is always a music to her ears. She gripped on his arms tightly, almost digging her nails through his skin while calling for him. She gasped softly, shivering on the warmth he released inside her.
She wrapped her arm around his neck as her hand traveled down on his chest down to his torso. She lifted her chin, letting out a satisfied moan when she felt his lips touching her neck. He continued to move between her legs and they reached the climax once again. She hugged him tight, panting heavily while whispering to his ear how much she loves him. He chuckled softly and nodded, leaving another kiss on her lips.
