"Where is it?!" Ellen screamed and the whole set stopped what they were doing. "You all know it's suppose to be right here whenever I film a scene!" She screamed as she pointed to the place the box with her bracelet always was. She looked around and the crew looked terrified of her but she didn't care. She needed her bracelet and they all knew never to touch it.
"Calm down Ellen, you are scaring the crew" Ellen looked up to see Scott Speedman walking over to her trying to get her to calm down. Scott was cool and all but he had no idea what that bracelet meant to her and him trying to calm her down just made her more angry. "No I will not calm down. Someone here lost it and they need to find it NOW!"
Scott looked at her like she had lost her mind but she really didn't care right now and just walked by him to search the floor. If she didn't find it she might actually burst out crying right here and it was not something she felt like doing today.*flashback to 2007*
Ellens day had been going really well today and she was heading towards her trailer to get out of her scrubs before going home. But as she got to her trailer she heard noises coming from inside and wondered who the hell was in her trailer without permission. As she opened the door the feeling of annoyence quickly faded when she saw Patrick sitting in her couch looking sad and upset. "Patty, what's wrong?" She asked him softly.
"I'm sorry for bothering you El I just needed someone..." he studdered out and she saw that he was on the verge of tears. She walked over to him and sat down close to him, insuring him that it was okay. "You could never bother me. Tell me what happened." She spoke and took his hand in hers.
Ellen hated seeing Patrick sad. He was her best friend and she loved him so much. "My gran passed away" he said in a quiet voice and her heart sank. She knew how close he was to his grandmother. Ellen had met her once and she was the sweetest old lady who made everyone around her smile. Ellen had felt safe in her presence immediately and she felt a rush of sadness knowing she was gone so she couldn't even imagine how Patrick was feeling right now. Ellen knew loss all too well but that didn't mean she wanted anyone else to know it. "Oh my god Patrick. I'm so sorry." She simply said and leaned forward to hug him."I know she was old and it's nothing compared to you losing your mom when you were young but I really loved her and I needed you." Patrick said as he broke the hug. It pained Ellen that he would even think like that, his pain was not something to overlook just because she had pain in her childhood. "Don't say that Patty. This is everything to you and you can always come to me, always." Ellen was squeezing his hand hoping her touch helped him to know that she would always be here for him.
It hurt her so much to see Patrick in this much pain and she wanted more than anything to be able to make it stop, but she knew she couldn't. "Is there anything you need?" She said and tried to make him look at her. There was a long silence but she didn't want to push him.
"You." Patrick finally answered looking up to make eyecontact with her. His eyes were watery from the tears but they were also dark and the way he just spoke made Ellen speeachless.Patrick could see that Ellen was unsure of what he meant when he'd said he needed her. To be honest he was unsure himself. The pain he felt was so strong and he felt as though Ellen was the only person in the world that could help lessen that pain. But at the same time sitting here next to his best friend, having her comfort her, he felt the need to never let her go. He always relyed on her over everyone else 'even over Jill' but this time he just got an aching feeling in his stomach and it made him want to make her stay.
"Could you maybe stay here tonight?" He finally spoke after Ellen had just sat there silently for several minutes.
"Of course Patty. Whatever you need." She answered him and he was happy that she said yes.Ellen had taken out a bottle of tequila that she kept in the trailer for nights she needed an escape and they were now onto their fifth shots. Patrick had stopped crying a while ago but she knew he was still so broken. "Who knew the silver lining of this day would be getting drunk with the most stunning woman to ever live" Patrick told her out of the blew and stroked her arm up and down which awoke a tingling feeling inside of Ellen. "Well guess you're feeling better if you can make up flirting jokes like that" she said giggling. He always joked around and flirted with her for fun so it made her feel happy that he was acting normal. "Who said I was joking?" Patty continued to say and his voice was one hundred procent serious. This caught Ellen off guard and she quickly downed another shot.
She had no clue what to say to that so she just smiled at him hoping the subject would change. 'Did he really think that of her? He has a wife that is beautiful' she thought as the room went silent.
